Gordon, I like to know what youre thinking that the thief is saying to his captor ;D
(if its too violent, I have another version..let me know and I'll change the pic ;) )
-
I did ask what military customs we can make with these swimmer bodies
...my inspiration: (btw, anyone here can decipher the Korean caption?)
-
Those are really excellent customs, Cheng! I love how the hair and heads look like they came from the factory. Nice adaptation of the new naked torso too. :wow:
-
Very well done!
-
one opinion, I don like the nude playmobil, mmmm
-
This is bizarre...but great customs anyway.
Do you think they will have fat people in swimsuit in the future?
-
thanks!
and Carrera, no worries, all feelings & opinions noted (I took another variant wuthout the katana at the horse thief's neck just in case, so I'm ready if another thinks its too unplaymobil :P

Thieves should be hung (back then). The Samurai let him off easy.

well.....overweighed guys and gals only....I bet the sumo-bil can stand
-
Great custom indeed!! I like you methods of trying to be as much as accurate you can to the real life/history thing!
-
thanks Wolf knight, my customs may not be accurate but neither do I make fantasy customs...altho Robin hood is one of my exceptions ;)
and Heronimus...dont you know a little korean? I can only guess that the "1860" meant that the photo was taken at the end of the Edo(Tokugawa) Period just before Meiji ;)

Another ground breaking custom, cheng, and a very original subject.
What's the horse thief saying? Hmm, how about, "Let me know if you're going to sneeze!"
I have a friend who knows Korean (well, his 9 year old son does!) so I'll send him the photo by email today.
-
Excellent work, Cheng!
That is a good use for the swimmer klicky. :)9
-
thanks Emma! thanks Jimbo!

Great customs cheng!
I really like to see where you get your inspiration and how we all get inspriation from different sources!!
-
Cool dudes, Cheng!
Are the captor's sandals painted on, and where is the hair taken from?
This is a creative forum, and we may all need thicker skins so that folks can try different things. No one is trying to offend anyone, and if a post bothers someone, they can always ignore it. Just as we do with films that bother us.
It is fun seeing speedodad in different themes, Pgal
-
thanks Pgal!
dont give me too much credit...I can't paint straight lines :P
it was masked and sprayed on ;)
and the hair is the female ones with ponytails cut not too much so that they still can grasp the small skull plate (cut from another head :P) onto the circular hair clip ;)
I've been waiting for these japanese top-knots hair-do from geobra...either as a full samurai theme or japanese sumo wrestler specials....so I haven't made more of these half-shaven heads :P
-
Cheng,
Wow! That sounds like too much work for a sumo hairpiece! PM should have made this hair many years ago for the Asian Klickys. Glad you figured out how, Pgal
-
The Korean text says: in summer he wears lighter clothes… * whistles*

WOH! and thanks for the translation Arnaud!
...sounds like a narration from a Chanel fashion book
and how How did you do that?! You have a samsung keyboard to type into the translator? :P

Well, I can read Korean obviously! BTW, the man on the picture is most probably a fisherman. :)

Nah! I can't read Korean! I asked the waiter in the Korean restaurant next door to my building.

Hah! por uno momento ;D, I thought I've discovered a Korean-literate PM collector :P
I thought the 'fisherman' was more japanese than korean(by his hairdo & clothes...no much clue if you know what I mean ) hence my inspiartion for the japanese horse thief (one we would see in old black & white samurai films)
-
cowa and cheng: Yall really are funny! Entertaining, too!
It is interesting that the Koreans use so many Chinese characters in their writing. In Seoul, our Chinese daughter in law could read many of the inscriptions (above palace entrances, etc.) and acted as our translator much of the time.
Still praying for some Asian sets....could not care less what the theme is as long as it has real people for Klickys. Cheers, Pgal
-
Pgal, maybe you can show her the photo of the Chanel model (the black & white one..not speedo dad) and ask her if she thinks he's korean or japanese?
me too, besides just getting more Asian klickies with almond shaped eyes, any baggy sleeves, trousers, sandals and layered 'collars' will be good enough for me to spin more Asian customs if not armies of them :P
-
Well some members here speculate about the asian stes coming next year. This is based on the fact more and more asian specials are spotted, which in the past resulted in themes. But you know what is said 'Past Results Do Not Guarantee Future Performance' but still we can :prays:
-
Fantastic...Exotic....as always Cheng.... :love: 8}
-
Magnificent custom work, Cheng! The detail looks like it's all genuine factory done. The swimmer body Klicky's have opened an entire new world of customising to collectors!

thanks Malone & Bill!
and I'm hoping to see you all use the torso in your own ways and favourite themes ;)
I'm hoping to experiment with the new tattooed pirate's torso once I dare wipe off his tattoos :P
