Title: The Crystal Guard of Winterhaven
Post by: Gis on August 31, 2010, 00:58:11
Please read this (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=5528.0) topic first.
---

As Hurdagon the Crystal Knight was getting old, King Bordul thought up a plan to make sure he would never be forgotten. The three most skilled castle guards were called in for training and we drilled like they never were before. They only knew that their tasks were on order of the king.

Then a sad day in the history of Winterhaven happened, Hurdagon let out his final breath in the castle flanked by King Bordul. During the funeral ceremony the three handpicked guards were carrying the casket between them and when put on the stage where the ceremony was held were asked to kneel before Bordul.

This is a sad day for Winterhaven!
Our hero and royal protector lies here, lifeless!
But we will NEVER forget. Therefore I King Bordul call you three: the Crystal Guard.

As he says this he points to the guards. He then hands each of them a crystal sword and a dragon hide shield.

From this day forward there will always be three Royal Crystal Guards in Winterhaven. Rise and except your task.

And to this day there have always been three Crystal Guards in memory of Sir Hurdagon, The Crystal Knight!

The current Crystal Guard consists of:
Shuran, he is the one in the middle, and currently the leader recognizable by his longer cape
Gharle, the one with the brown hair on the left
Yontel, the newest member featured on the right

Thanx WoT! This story has been brewing in my head for quite some time. Just needed to get my hands on the curvy Crystal Sword and the Black Dragon to actually tell it!!

Thanks Sir Wolf, I really like this klicky too, so when I got number two and three (and then number four aswell but then I had already decided on three guards) I really felt I needed to include them somehow. Fitting them in the story was a long thought process, but I got there in the end.

I am using this torso for my malevolent duke,... but I have second thoughts these days...as the lion crest on the chest does not fit a bad guy verymuch...
I'll show him to you later tonight for some feedback and insights on him!

Baden  :)

Thank you very much Baden! Although they are not knights. They are merely guards who basically function as the kings Bodyguard.

 :)

You got it Gordon, slowly introducing the pieces to have it all be more familiar when the bigger stories happen :-)

I think that's the best way to do it as people can take the story's background in in small amounts and have separate threads to refer to when they want to refresh their memory.
