I just found the entire treasure hunters assortment at TRU today (4842, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49). I thought we would have to wait until next year for those...they also had the new school sets and have restocked all of the Egyptian sets too.
One other item of interest. They were selling a new, smaller tower for the dragonland theme for $29.99. It looks like an exclusive set, but didn't get the number.

I've seen all those sets but the dragon tower set. Got to get my hands on a couple of those!:)

I had no idea what TRU was until I Googled it. :lens: ToysRUs . . . duh. They do have some great sets on sale, Gloobey. I especially liked the knights. Thanks so much for the heads up! :)9

They've got the entire new zoo series a year early also

cool! Those sets aren't even up on the playmo site (unless I completely missed them). I'll have to see where the local TRU is here.
Don't worry basilsdad, I had to google TRU the first time I came across it here too.

Sorry guys, I was being lazy. I should have typed the name out, and yes Tierman, I forgot to mention the Asian Zoo sets. They had those too. I'm really shocked, and pleased that we don't have to wait for these new sets!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! :-[ - I thought TRU was the name of an American store until Junior told me it was Toys R Us! ;D ;D
Before we moved here we visited our local store on a very regular basis, but the nearest to where we live now is 2 hours travelling away. :'(

Don't worry Elaine,
The Glasgow TRU doesn't have any of the above sets anyway so you're not missing out....I go there fairly regularly though so will keep you updated if that changes. Let me know if there is anything specific you want me to look out for.

Hi
This seems to be a trend for tru (now it looks like a typo ;)). Last year they had certain themes out early as well. I guess tru's buying powers are able to overcome Geobras new release districts. If tru is able to buy and distribute much more Playmobil we could see this hurdle overcome. Tru & Target are also able to either request or they are just distributing exclusives from time to time.

Many thanks for that Claire, I'd like that.
Luckily there are two toy shops in Dumfries with a good range of Playmobil but not often things on offer.

I think it might be a cheap way for the Geobra B. to issue more "exclusives"... they give TRU, etc these sets early and as nobody esle has them (yet) they are exclusive until the regular release date.

Our local TRU has restocked the Egyptian theme, I bought a few and tolld them how glad I was to see them. It wouldn't hurt if EVERYTIME you buy Playmobil at whatever store to tell them you are glad they carry Playmobil.
I also bought a couple of the Safari sets with the Africa wildlife animals. I plan to get more and keep the scenary and animals and sell off the modern stuff.

Went to TRU yesterday and picked up a couple of the Dragon attack tower sets and the nativity set. Playmobil shelf space had doubled in size since the last time I was there. They even had advent calendars there. First time I had seen them on the shelves.
