Title: playmobil hair
Post by: playmo1989 on August 18, 2010, 15:24:44
i don't know if you have realised but in all the new sets there is not a single klycky that has the original 1974 hair without a hat http://acimg.auctivacommerce.com/imgdata/0/1/9/3/9/7/webimg/2425185.jpg

the ones that they don't have hats they have the type of hair that doesen't fit a hat on   http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4l-xbg9BBL0/SQiujGFyq4I/AAAAAAAABH4/-yQNhtOabMY/s400/Playmobil+Caucasian+Family.jpg

why this  ???

I don't think there has ever been a set in the whole history of Playmobil with "hat-hair" that hasn't also had a hat, helmet or other headgear. The 1974 hair was designed for wearing a hat (or helmet etc.).

Thats true, all klickies had hats/helmets back then.
And if you look in the 2010 catalogue you'll see the old hair on a lot of klickies of modern sets!

Honestly, the hat hair drove me crazy as a kid. I mean, in was ingenious if you wanted a hat on the person. But I never wanted my modern women to wear hats, and I didn't like the look of hat hair. So I was glad when they started getting away from it.

Somehow it did not make any sense why the klicky should be wearing a hat all the time...

I actually do not mind this hair (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-14-2120).

I like the modern hair for some klickies, but it is annoying to have to change it when I want them to wear a hat.
However I would like to see some different styles in the modern hair, such as grey hair for older female klickies as all my old ladies need to wear hats.
(I don't think they do such a thing do they?   ???)

Interesting topic everyone! I myself like the new hair styles for not wearing hats, helmets, or hair bands all of the time. It makes the figures of today more up to date for dioramas. I had to purchase many baseball caps from Playmobil DS to hide the helmet hair of my firefighters so they would not be required to wear their helmets in all of my photo stories.

There is a grandmother figure in set 4281 with grey no-hat hair, but it's quite a dark grey (much darker then her husband's grey) and the only one so far.

I'm sure more grey female no-hat hairstyles will appear in time, especially if we lobby Playmobil for them. Until then the older klicky ladies will have to continue wearing hats or dyeing their hair.

I like most of the new hairstyles. However they could have just made head bands to cover up the hat hair in different colors.

Similar to this:

But less elaborate

I cant help overhearing your 'hair-wishes' in this interesting topic, so I'll put in my wish as its quite difficult for me to mass produce them for a small samurai army;
"I wish Geobra would launch such a hair after the launch the samurai in mid-2011"  ;)

I like the "no hat" hair for klickies without headgear, as the standard hair looks strange without headgear.  That said, I do like the classic hair and that seems to be getting more and more scarce these days, much like the classic face printing.

I like girls with ponytail, but the blonde version looks kind of weird.

Most of my girls' ponytail hair has lost the ponytails thanks to my eldest boy who keeps changing them around.  :'
(Now they just look silly!  ::)

Elaine, you probably meant you boy broke their pony-tails? leaving a hairstyle only my chinese customs can use  :P (but not my top-knotted japanese...if they lose their ponytails, they'll have to commit hara-kiri  ;) )
