Great western town there.

They look great! Having grown up and living the West it is good to see more people around the world care about the local history. (Now if we could get more people who live here now to care about it instead of everything 'worldly' and all the latest mass-marketing ploys...)
Ranting of which - I wish Playmobil would have kept upgrading and revamping the Western line over the years, like they have done with other lines.
Regardless of some of the interesting things that can be done with system-x, Steck really shows itself when you see any custom structures.
Looking at your 'engine shed' (that's what they are called here, instead of a depot (a "depot" here would be a small train station)), one can see that it would have been really neat if Playmobil had made some 'half-height' Steck wall pieces! Personally, I could never cut a Steck piece in half, as used Playmobil here in Canada is hard enough to get. Now, if I lived in Europe where it is plentiful (or had a MacGayver size collection)...
Are you able to set all the buildings up together for a large diorama (and include a train track)?

I'm sure the western theme will one day return. It's one of these classic themes that comes and goes.
Very nice western town, by the way!!!

Thing is, we haven't had any western sets, apart from spacials, since 2003...and up until then it was a stable theme... then again ,we had the various exclusives, blister packs and DS sets...

Great work Potosky72! I think the "Depot" was really nice!
Which "rock" did you use to make the mine out of?

thanks for your info, engine shed is right for me.
and for other side, the buildings are for a exhibition, here in Spain, Valencia.
It´s a project, but we´re working in.

I am curious as to whether you know if any of the movie sets of western forts and towns that were built in Spain for making what we call here "spaghetti" westerns are still there?
Any idea what happened with all the props / costumes?
I know most movie companies either tear down their sets or they are on movie lots so they just stay there but they would make great tourist/historical points of interest.

Your western buildings are excellent, Potosky! We see so many incredible custom designs made with the gray castle pieces so it is a real treat to see that type of imagination and creativity put to work with western buildings!
