I was wondering if someone has taken the time to do a complete list of the playmobil Heraldry?

I was wondering if someone has taken the time to do a complete list of the playmobil Heraldry?
You mean the coat of arms symbols on shield right? I think i have most of them (if not all) but never thought of doing a list...good challenge!!! I could start doing it!!!

Basically yes, but in theory it isn't necesary to be on a shield.
But yes I was wondering if there is a comprehensive list of all the PM Coat of Arms.
Would be great if you are willing to do that.
Thanks a lot :-)

Ok so i took a few pictures of my knights from all the factions i have... (i was not sure how to do this :!:...hope you enjoy it and you find it helpfull if someone wants me to take a picture of a single shield or flag please let me know!!! :) :) )
I think the first piece of PM heraldry can be found in these early knight's shilelds! Its the cross.
(http://img38.imagefra.me/img/img38/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kcqm_df7a9e6.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
and then we have the Nuremburg guards, the yellow unicorn knight, the red gryphon knight, and this guard from 3379 whose shield has a gryphon (i guess ) but with a crowned female head!
(http://img38.imagefra.me/img/img38/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kctm_2cae9d3.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)

then we have, what i consder to be the three major groups of knights in the Playmobil universe...
The royal knights... (fluer de lis and crowns on red/blue background), the Tower shield (resembling the Zirndorf coat of arms) and the Black Lion (resembling another city's coat of arms but cannot remeber whose...) looking to the left.
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kcrm_ba98a66.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
Three more dominant groups in the PM universe is the White Swan, the Black Lion (again...but looking to the right) with red and white stripes and the Black Lion (yet again...looking to the right)on a yellow background in yellow and black stripes...
(http://img38.imagefra.me/img/img38/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kcsm_03d966c.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
-
then we have various Easter eggs and specials!!!
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kcum_0569674.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kcvm_d25d993.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
-
I consider these next four factions to be bad guys...The Black Serpent Dragon, the Red Wolf, the Chess Shield (as i like to call it) and the Golden Dragon...
(http://img40.imagefra.me/img/img40/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kcwm_2e44ed5.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
And now what for me are ''balance to the force'' factions, the Green Dragons (two shields...and a third one can be found in 4586 special) the Unicorn Knights, and the Double Axe Force (my personal all time favourite, its the knight that brought me back to playmobil)...
(http://img40.imagefra.me/img/img40/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kdom_3a0d972.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
-
Here are my final knights for this project...(apart from the golden one who is in storage but his shield is similar to the lion knight's shield on the second picture of this post) and the spare shields I could dig out...
(http://img40.imagefra.me/img/img40/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kdpm_f9bbc36.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kdqm_e34d91a.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
(http://img40.imagefra.me/img/img40/6/6/2/baldthar/f_grpn4kdrm_2692cf4.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
I am sure I am missing a few, but not sure which ones...definately the ones in the sets that are produced in the US, or variations of the ones I have posted in different shapes...
I hope this was not boring and that all can see these pictures!!! ;) :) :) :)
Let me know of any i missed (i am now thinking of two...) and if you need another image of any one of them!!!

OK, guys, let me be the first to tell you that you are in for a treat! There are 2, count 'em 2, fabulous websites dealing with Playmobil heraldry.
The older one first, put together by David Donachie: Playmobil Armoury (http://www.teuton.org/~stranger/PLAYMOBIL/armoury/heraldry.html)
The second, a beautifully organized collection by our own Tiermann, who put together the amazing Animobil website:
Shields and Heraldry at Animobil.info (http://animobil.info/shields/)
Enjoy!!! :)

Well I am loving it at least Wolf Knight!
Thanks a lot for this!

Thank you, Wolf Knight, for that very fast and comprehensive response. Good work there!
Thank you Indianna for the links to David's and Tim's sites. When Gis first posed the question I had an idea there was one site but couldn't remember whose but you came up with two.

Thank you Gis for the question, and Wolf Knight for a very full answer! There's a few you have in there that I was previously unaware of. I particularly enjoy seeing the matching pieces together, so if a Knight has a caparison, shield, flag and tabard all bearing the same design, we can see the complete set. Tiermann has a complete (we think) set of all knights with caparisonned horses.
Tiermann's site and David's sites each do a great job. I particularly like Tiermann's site as it gives the part number if you want to place an order for a particular shield (just hover your mouse over the shield you want). David's of course is less up-to-date so less complete, but I like his descriptions using correct heraldic terminology. Of course different European countries have developed slightly different heraldic rules, so we should view Geobra's designs with an eye to their German roots.
Some of the best designs only appeared in one set (such as a special or easter egg), and it's a shame they had switched to more "Fisher Price" childish stylings (e.g. the crowned lion head and the red dragon face) just when I got back into collecting. Why they come up with a great simple design (e.g. the black spread eagle on red kite shield) and then drop it immediately is another puzzle I'd like Playmobil to answer. Maybe if we can establish better communication with Geobra through Richard's efforts then we can ask them about their heraldry decisions.
I think Wolf Knight is a "true" collector, since he's tried to get at least one of everything available to him. My collection of shields and heraldry is more limited to what I like, or acquired in sets, and I've not bothered to go back to the old Nuremberg Guards, since it was easier to start with the Knights of the 3666 castle generation Some specials and Easter Egg figures I got multiples of to make a bigger force, but it gets expensive fast...

But a great knight always rises to a challenge and overcomes it!
That is true!!! :D :D :D Thank you Gordon!!!
@ Martin: Thank you for your feedback! It is much appreciated! I do try to get hold of all knights that playmobil has produced, or is producing, or will be producing... It gets costly after a time, especially if a klicky is an exclusive or rare, but the satisfactionof having the knight next to the rest is tremedous!!!
I had trouble with the child-like symbols as you said, especially the latest dragon shield is rediculous (not the one from the Rock Castle but the one that goes with the knights of the chicken dragon) Should I consider them as coat of arms or just a symbol... Anyway, i've listed them there and here is the result...

Wolf Knight,
Gordon' s comment on your work is so apropos that I cannot improve on it, so I will just quote him myself. :) I really like the way that you have displayed the heraldry by showing each knight with his complete and original set-up and I wish you luck in finding any that you may still need to complete your collection.
-
WK: Didn't you also like the fact that you were able to get out all your old knights and display them again in their full glory??

Thank you Indianna!! Judging from the websites you shared with us I believe they are not many left to find and get!!! :D :D :D

Actually Gis these are not all of my old knights...there are a few more at my old room at my parents house... (i really need to take a picture of them and show you) !!! The whole project was actually very exciting!!!
