Title: Sad Day
Post by: kenc on November 12, 2009, 07:40:57
Last weekend I discovered I somehow lost a big box containing my four market stands including the one of the old pottery, all of my medieval carts including the ox cart, two prison carts and two planewagons, all of my Playmobil meat, bread and vegetables, my large barrels and a large number of the loose parts I used in my last diorama. I checked the attic where I stored the box like crazy... nothing there. Then I realised, I must have had left the box at the garbage dump by accident... :'(  :'(  :'(

Oh Kenc , I am really sorry  :(

That's what is happening when one has too many things on his mind and this could have happened to any of us on the wrong day :yup:...

Make sure you cheer yourself up with some shopping on Ebay or at your local toyshop.

You must think positive and beat the odds my Friend ;)

OMG  :o! I can't imagine what you are going through! First the panic of searching the attic, & then the despair of not finding it  :'(! Is there anywhere else you may have decided to move it to & forgot, like a basement or storage facility, or maybe someone else moved it for you  :!:? I am hoping you find that box safe some where  :prays:!

Hi Kenc  :'(

That indeed would be not only a bad day but if I lost some pieces like that it would do in my week . Some of the items luckily are still available but I imagine does not help with the loss . Hopefully they turn up in some unchecked location  :crossed:

   Good Luck and sorry

Dear Kenc

I was rushing this morning to update my current diorama and then rushing to work and I am afraid that I did not quite understand the extent of the damage  :'(

I am very sorry for your loss and just wish that somehow you will be able to retrieve at least part of it if at all possible :yup:...

I'm very sorry to hear that, kenc.  It wouldn't be so bad if the parts were easily replaceable, but many of them, of course, are not.

Hello, Ken ...

Have you had any luck at all in locating some of your missing Playmobil on eBay?

Not too long ago Playmobil was offering the 7855 Market Stand and 7648 Covered Wagon through Direct Service. I just checked, and they're both still available on the Playmobil USA and the Playmobil UK websites.

They also offered the ox cart and prisoner cart through DS, but I don't remember the set numbers.

I really hate it when I lose stuff ...  :hissyfit:

Hope you can replace evrerything soon.

All the best,
Richard

Thanks for the info, Richard! Indeed luckily the market stands are still available. I've been making an inventory of the parts I lost during the last couple of days. I lost about 2000 parts in total  :-[  :-[  :-[ I checked on Ebay to replace the merry men's feast sets, prices go crazy there. The beer barrel only goes about 25 Euros 8}, of crouse I won't participate in that.

As to complete the lost goodies,  I know what to ask my family for christmas  ;D
