The following photo story is about the Playmobil City Fire Department's station interiors living quarters. All PCFD fire stations are designed to be exactly the same. Even the 2 additional stations numbers 15, & 25 are being built to be exactly like their sister stations. The reason this is being done is the theory that if personnel members that are substituting for absent fellow members are placed in a station that is not their own, the atmosphere to settle in will be exactly as their own station, making the chore of finding, & performing station duties much more efficient. The same is for apparatus equipment set up, & design, which is why this is the same reason for this theory to be implemented. When transfer personnel are placed with an apparatus, it can keep confusion & delays of finding equipment, & supplies to a minimum on an incident scene. There is a department rule that all personnel are fed 3 meals a day. Firefighters are only charged $2.00 for each meal. They're allowed as many refills as they want. Playmobil City Emergency Medical Service units assigned to each station eat with the PCFD firefighters every meal. Playmobil City Police Department units that are assigned to each stations call area have a standing invitation to eat with the PCFD also. Each of the 10 PCFD stations prepare 3 meals everyday the same way. All visitors eat with the PCFD personnel at no cost. The philosophy is to strengthen relationships & brotherhood by breaking bread together every meal. The following photo story describes the every day life within the PCFD stations. I hope you enjoy the story.

Hi Bill
These pictures are a feast for the eyes, absolutely crystal clear and so colourful !!!
I really feel like I am queeing for lunch at the Canteen :yup: !!!
I am speechless with the great sense of humour of the comments - the chicken carving with the rescue saw   - , our favorite avatars "in situ" - oh my Goodness Sylvia ! What a charming Tea Lady you are :-[ -
Your photographing makes us part of the action and I so wish I could join the fire training today in Playmoville !!!
100% Thumbs Up !!! :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:
You have made my day !!!
Karim ;)
Well Bill, wait a sec' please :yup: as I just had an update from our Reporter at the the Victorian Herald and it seems that the Playmo grapevine worked its magic once again as a few more Friends were also there "incognito" !!! John Macclesfield III from Hyde Park himself was there too showing in picture No 13 and his comments were : "Very comfortable suit Old Chap, and the lunch although quite informal was very pleasant too not to mention the Blond Beauty at the Coffee Station ;)"!!!
-
Wonderful, Bill, really wonderful! The detail is amazing - they're pictures to go back to time and time again! :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:
Thanks for laying on the tea for my visit, btw.
-
Excellent set-ups and pictures, but I think someone's cheating at cards, I see six aces!
Good to know there's plenty of tea, my first instance of cultureshock was arriving at Chicago airport for a transfer, and not being able to get a cup of hot, normal tea. :prays:
-
Thank you, Karim, Gordon, & Martin for the positive reviews! It took awhile to do this project, because I was posting pictures, & applying captions when a near by lightening strike knocked me off line loosing all of my info, & was required to start all over again >:(!

I'm glad you noticed the aces situation, too, Martin! I think Playmobil does that deliberately to start a gunfight in the old west theme where the part number originated when ordered from DS! But maybe they're playing pinochle instead,.... :-[

Wow Bill this is a great set up . Where do you find all the time for these elaborate setups . I guess you really do become an extended family when you become a fireman now that I see how they live together .

I'll see what I can do about making an avatar copy that matches yours for photo stories b-w. I don't have the black gloves or a number 7 that small :-\!
-
Amazing Bill, simply amazing! :wow: I agree with everyone else that your scenes are so full of detail and action and well photographed. It is fun to see other member's avatars in various photo stories and I appreciate your humor, but I am curious that I don't recall seeing any fire extinguishers anywhere?! :)
The photo story was a lot fun and as Ras mentioned gives some insight into the lives of the people we count on being there in an emergency, thank you! :wow:

Oh, but you can just copy the avatar i have in (The moveable water tank) because the number seven and the black
gloves are extra.I hope youcan do something,so i can also appear in your fantastic stories. Thanks

Very nice, Bill. Sorry I didn't see this before.
You have quite the station there. Plenty of room and stuff. Awesome as usual. I just might have some klickys putting in work applications down there soon... Anyways nice photos. :wow:
P.S. Sorry I have to carry the charged hoseline around all the time. :-[ ;D I might change that... I'm glad I can somehow do so many things at once and never run out of air though, that might get ugly. :hmm:

Thanks, Bill ...
I'm amazed at how large your fire station is. It's really huge!
Your attention to detail is mind blowing. But, what's most important ... It looks like you had (and continue to have) a wonderful time setting it all up.
All the best,
Richard
-
Thank you Ras, FireChief, b-w, Richard, & Gepetto for the positive reviews! It's always fun doing these types of photo stories, & sharing them with people who can appreciate the efforts!

I hadn't seen this before, this is really great Bill, your attention to detail is fantastic and I loved the humour.
I did notice that it was the men's restroom as the toilet seats had been left up! ;D
I'm sure that everytime I look at the photos I'll notice something new.
Well done :wow:
Elaine
-
Thank you for the positive compliments, Elaine! I truly appreciate them! BTW, the toilet seat is up with a male PCFD firefighter standing in front of it, but the Klicky's arms don't bend in a way to be useful in the situation, but then again maybe I need to start designing a custom figure for this purpose ;)!

Thank you flatcat for bumping this thread.
Bill it was apleasure to "read" the photo story. The use of other peoples Avatars is really great and gives a very nice community touch. The pictures are very well done and the added touch of humor makes it a real treat.
Can't wait for your next endeavors!

Thank you for the kind comments flatcat & Gis! I appreciate it very much!

Fantastic story, Bill! (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/luwerner/gif/clapping.gif)
I didn't see this one before. Could you share how you made the rescue saw? I want to make one.
PS: Where have you been? Haven't seen you around.
-
Great job, Bill!
Looks like the fire department is ready to put out any fires!
-
Thank you everyone, for the positive comments :-[! They are appreciated very much. :)

I was just looking at this and realizing that somehow, I never commented on it! Love your fire station interior, BB. I liked the way you showed all the varieties of foods offered, very realistic touches like the klicky taking a slice of bread. My avatar wishes zookeepers were invited. And the bathrooms really made me laugh. :giggle: Nice to see a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on inside your fire station! Any chance on an update any time soon? ;D
