One thing I'm noticing more is that they're using cgi playmobil with arms and legs bending like a real person in their promotional material. I wonder if they're heading towards more figures with bent arms and maybe legs like in the sports themes? I would like to see separate legs, that is long overdue and the soccer figure that kicks is an example of how it can work.

The theme looks very over-the-top for this adult collector: mad bomber jester, lava walled castles, etc.

But , MAN, I want a lot of parts from these!

Who with fantasy themes does not want a DEMON HORSE?!?
...not that one horse is worth the cost of a large castle....



The 70223 set looks like it has lots of goodies for our house.
We might even spring for that set at full price.

Anyhow

Here's hoping for clearance deals on Novelmore in a year!

Me too, but it seems it won´t happen, the theme is told to be licensed as well and so parts exclusive to this theme are not available for parts orders.  >:(

This is by far the most crappy theme I have ever seen and another evolution towards the downfall of decent historical themes. But there is another aspect that worries me. Since when is Playmobil determining the story in advance? The characters are pre-defined whereas in the past, the king and the knights and the civilians could be any character and could have any name or origin. Now clearly this prince is the prince and his name is Arwynn. The only limit is not your but Geobra's marketing department's imagination.  :hmm:

Good point, kenc. Is there a chance Novelmore is set to become a movie? That might explain them giving an outline of each character in advance. It's a shame children can't imagine for themselves, though.

Since people are (once again) not allowed anymore to think for themselves and young children are now (too genetically evolved and) not able anymore to do so.  ;D

I read in an online article there is a TV-series coming based on the Novelmore Theme and it´s sets & characters, in fall 2020 if things go as planned.

Oh, I phoned with customer-service in Germany this week about an order and I also asked a few questions about Novelmore, I was told the theme is NOT licensed and parts unique to these sets should become available at DS in a few months.

Thanks for sharing such great news!

I did find it odd that there were LOADS of parts available, but only via email.

Of course, by the time the sets arrive here, they'll be gone.
