Title: 5587 Christmas stands?

This has been out in Europe for a year, and I imagined that it would be out in the US, but so far no sign of it. Do you think this will be released this year here, maybe next month, or should I try to get it from Europe?

It will be next year I think. It was a store exclusive last year, in the regular catalog in Germany this year, so export market release next year. Also remember the stands in a different color are in the new add on catalog so will be out in the US in that form in January. All depends how long you can wait and if it's the full set you want. I plan on getting a couple more when they come out here. Some nice small parts as well as the stands themselves.

Hi, thanks. But I do recall that they were available in a toy store in Florence Italy last fall, and were in the Italian catalog. But they were very expensive there so I didn't buy them, thinking that normally they'd be here in the US this year. The last few Christmases I've done a big PMB Christkindal market display and really wanted to add a few sets of these. I suppose the next best thing is to get them from a German dealer. Do you have any leads on who to buy them from that ship to the US? Thanks again for all the info from you both, and any future responses.

These are just great. My town sets up stands like this for our Advent Market, so it's not just a European thing. Hope they become available here.

GREAT GREAT set - loads of gorgeous bits.
Regarding the color, I believe I prefer the more plain version coming..
I got mine from a seller at Amazon.de ..

Yes, try Amazon.de or if you can arrange a reship agreement with someone in Germany Playmobil.de takes PayPal. They don't ship overseas though, you have to have a German shipping address.
