Title: Are these real? XXL Klickys
Post by: tahra on November 11, 2015, 10:22:48
Saw this on THAT site...

Considering that the Santa seems to be doing ok, a NORMAL company would release more, right? But...

Also not surprising to get news (if real) from a 3rd (or 4th or 5th) party  ::)  >:(

I would say yes they are real... this would be the next logical release. Also the xxl figures do look just enough off from the regular ones in all the right ways to not be photoshopped... at least I hope so.

Blonde pink princess with brown-haired knight... it's either Playmobil or someone who knows their preferences.

Nothing to see or hear at the PCC-but that's not strange...We'll see.

If these are Playmobil the numbers seam wrong as the New Farther Christmas is 6629 and any more would possible be a similar range of numbers.

The Santa box has a clear front. The knight and princess appear to be printed on card - they don't seem to have depth. Either the packaging is more enclosed for them or someone has printed some fake images. The box image on the playmobil website shows a 2-d image too, I guess the whole thing is computer generated. I think someone has done a fake based on that 2-d image.
The knight also looks weird and the sword especially looks flat.

Is the sword the foam one that came with the target shield set? I just wish geobra would just say either they are fake or real. If they are real I would not buy Santa. If they are fake I will buy Santa to get at least one of the XXL klickies

It's just as annoying not knowing which sets are or are not going to make the US market.

As a collector of all themes I need to organize purchases

I have checked with Playmobil and at the moment these are due out first in Germany next September, but the date may be brought forward.

Santa is out already.

I think they look real enough.

Now... what's your secret Walts-Trains?

Yes I know Santa is out in some markets but not all. If Walt train is in a market that Santa is not in yet then the sep date could be for that.

Real or not I just want to know either way. Pcc is playing a vauge game and for me that is annoying to say the least. Need to prioritize purchases especially as Christmas is comming

Well, I assume "these" does not mean Santa, unless it's a typo.. and the question wasn't really about him, right?

The items numbers is what make me think they are fake. Santa starts with 6 and these  with 4. But I never understood really how they select the numbers or why so.... I might be rambling

If you go on my web site and look on the page photos from 2015, scroll to the bottom and you will see the layout I provided for the Playmobil stand at Toptopia at Liverpool the other weekend.
http://www.walts-playmobil-collection.me.uk/photos_from_2015.htm

This same layout but with extra trains will be at the Warley Model railway exhibition at the N E C in Birmingham at the end of the month. Playmobil will be providing a XXL Farther Christmas as a prize. All you will have to do is count the number of Farther Christmases on my layout and all correct answers will go into a draw.
So you will see I work closely with Playmobil and have ex-directory telephone numbers to find out information.

Cool :)  And also good to see them supporting your efforts!

You don't happen to have the contact of whoever is responsible for the Iberian shop do you? Or whoever is responsible for whoever is responsible? :wall:

Anyways, what I find strange... no, wait, actually I don't.  I was gonna say it's strange that the PCC doesn't confirm or deny, but playmobil confirms it to you. But we all have more than ample proof they are really no good at communication between themselves, right? :(

Ah ha so the plot thickens. Congratulations on getting a good rep in your country. Our rep in the US could use some pointers on how to work with collectors hosting train layouts promoting playmobil toys. I gave up and started putting up Lego signs, most US civilians didn't even know the diffrences.

or maybe they are not kept inside the loop by the other departments  ??? ::)
I've heard this from Anna and from Kerstin aswell, communications inside Zirndorf is not always going smoothly towards the PCC.

Well if that is the case then that is a sad state of affairs. Poor comunication within a company is not good....ever.

As to communications.. They have proven over and over again that it does NOT happen...

PCC was a pilot-project and looked upon as the 5th wheel on the waggon as i understood it from them.
Now it has become more succesfull and still growing, it seems the PCC has been taken more seriously this last year. But still, long ways to go.

sounds a lot like our department (Government)

Yes, the PCC does seem like the strange cousin who gets invited to Christmas, as they're family, but is otherwise ignored.

Walt, it's Father Christmas, not Farther. There is a word in English called 'farther' and it has to do with distance. Thanks for the information.

5th wheel are very important when you get a flat/broken spoke ....AKA spare tire.

Why not actually advertise it in the mini catalogs? F$&@book gets its logo and isn't there a YouTube as well?
