Post by: Spuddypaws on October 10, 2015, 17:22:29
Hello everyone! My name is Martin I am 48 & I have recently rekindled my affection for Playmobil after 40ish years after playing with the 5300 Mansion with my son! I am looking forward to being part of this friendly forum which seems a great place to get lots of ideas & spend some interesting and happy times...see you soon!

Welcome Martin.

The mansion is certainly a beautifull set. Are you planning to collect, build diorama's, picture stories?

Thankyou! nice to here from you all, yes I'm collecting the Victorian furniture at the moment, and some other bits and pieces from the other sets to go in and around the mansion, the thing about the mansion I like is that one has endless options , one theme I'm looking into is ' eccentric explorer/collector lives in a Victorian mansion full of artifacts and treasures from his travels theme!' which means I can utilizse parts of the Egyptian, medieval sets etc which I like. I'm also hoping to do pic stories & dioramas, photos etc...watch this space!

Welcome from the west coast of Canada!

Your project sounds great!  (The Victorian theme is definitely one that's due for a reboot!)

Welcome from Oregon!

Sounds like a great project! If I remember correctly Hadoque has a mansion of that type.

Welcome  from the Netherlands.

Your project sounds great. The house of a collector and flea market visitor can use items of any theme.

Greetings from Stroud (Gloucestershire) and welcome! I like the sound of your idea for incorporating different themes in the mansion. If you want help with getting hold of particular parts, this forum is the place to ask!

Welcome from The Netherlands. Your project sounds great with lots of possibilities! Thinking of Tomb Raider or the Clive Cussler books. Check also the Story Telling section and the Diorama section of this board to be inspired! Have Fun!

That's a great idea! I have plans for a professor's library/office with artifacts when I finally have the space to set up the Victorian houses again.
