Title: Extra parts in series 8

I've been finding many extra parts in the series 8 bags I've been getting; anyone else seeing this? So far I have an extra lion knight shield, a viking helmet, a pirate upper body, a pirate hairpiece, a stop signal, a fairy jewel, a sticker for the spaceman, & a light grey internal clip. What I'm wondering is if I'm missing any pieces? The viking I got came with only one wristband. Does anyone know if there are supposed to be two?

Hi Jim, the Viking only came with one wrist guard normally. You can see exact usual contents for all Figures through series 8 at my website - for 8 it's specifically Here (http://www.animobil.info/shields/text/5d0863aa%28shields%29-1132.html).

There are always a few extra parts. I opened three full cases of boys and 3 of girls for series 8 and found the number of extra parts to be typical or even a bit lower than sometimes. You are most likely to find small parts like wrist cuffs, especially those gold wrist rings. The grey skeleton is also pretty common since they tend to stick together I think. Something as nice as a shield is unusual but anything is possible with these bags.

Thanks, Tim. I've been calling the bags with extras "double-yolks," so it's all good. I'm glad the Viking is complete. My only problem with series 8 (so far) is that I can't get the hairpiece for the fairy to actually click in place. And I have two fairies now... sigh. Still hoping for the Indian dancer & the Greek warrior in the girls series.

Extras are great! I was very lucky with Series 8 so far and got an extra claymore and an extra silver armguard with a Viking (most of them had only one, as Tiermann mentioned).

I don't get doubles very often, but lately they have been doubles of good parts!

Well it seems its a great problem over at the factory, for us at least ;)

Anybody who went on the factory tour know if the bags are filled by hand or computer/scale?

For the price DS has been selling spares these days all these extra parts must be cutting into profits......... :P

My 3 southerners came with a red collar, a red cuff and a grey internal torso clip....I was so worried they might hv left out the kepi! Wonder if anyone found 2 kepis...that would be the ultimate double yoke for me

My Confederate soldier was MISSING a wrist cuff, but my pirate gave me an extra torso and pistol

With Series 8 I received an extra blue hairbow for the female clown. Nothing else but luckily no missing parts either.

Things are a mess this time though.  >:(
