unlike Tahra's, mine is a constriction (all other playmos are in boxes in new cupboards above and on the left)

But what superb customs there are in that constricted space!

thanks Gordon, dear friend! :)

If there is one thing I would like to see, it is a large, detailed photo of cheng's shelves. To see all that glory in one panorama.

Agreed!
-
I agree as well, even more bigger detailed shots of what was good enough to make the cut and stay out on display please

Just stunning, really incredible work. This is the Asian theme that PM failed to make.

Can only use my laptop before auto help kicks in, please bear with me...resizing pics also affected by auto help pop ups.. trying more suggestions from internet
-
It looks great, I like how you posed them as if they are talking with each other.
And three soldiers seem quite interested in that near naked drummer. ;)

You can set your browser to block popups.
-

-
That is truly impressive :D Thanks for showing us!
-
thanks Macrurun, Ive tried all those including pop-ups in browsers. the worse part is that help pane is still popping out even as I'm typing in a text file (before i open browser and race to open my this topic and past what i'm typing....cursor still jumps to earlier parts of my typing...its not malware but the IT friends i've consulted are lost for new solutions.
ok...will past a few which i have edited earlier. wish me luck.

He is, isn't he? A master customiser!

not Boxers, these are Qing troops belonging to Dowager....the westernized troopers are Chinese from Tientsin not Japanese (who are on the right of the same shelf in the larger photo earlier)

What's up with the shakoes on the bluecoats? I haven't seen the symbol that's on them before. Custom or a rare set?

No can do - PICS! :picsplz: ;D

What can I say, you have a true talent for customising figures and such attention to detail. I think most of us could do with shelves like those perfect way to showcase your brilliant unique custom works, figures and dioramas brilliant and beautiful loving the foreign soldiers as well as the Aisians :)
-
thank you playmofriends!
and you asked, Tahra,
I dont have uniform transparent boxes like yours, just all kinds of boxes over the years in some of these cupboards.
at they look neater now when the doors are closed
-
Thanks for all the details!!! Great customs!!!
-
It's stunning!! Thank you so much for all the detailed pictures.
Your storage boxes look like a customizer's dream :)
I must have missed your customized safari/colonial clickies before (or maybe I just forgot), but I really like them too.
-
Thanks for showing us :)
I really like those flatish boxes on the top in the last pic..
-
Those flat document holders are perfect for klikies lying on their sides....can hold maybe 50 each....quite easy to find on book stores but not the really transparent ones....at least that's rare here

I don't think I ever saw those... Very very nice :)

Hi Cheng....!!!
Yes, a bit reduced space....but is like a chocolat bombom....little and delicatessen....
-
wow! Malone, my master of casting....have you been here often? Do post some more your work here....I must confess to not looking into other forums...still not enough hours in a day.
and share your views and opinions on these new parts and sometimes new directions of the new Geobra development team....I prefer them to be doing anything now than those previous years of dull, no-new-parts-to-chase years....people like me dont have casting skills like you :)
-
Thanks Cheng....
Sorry my friend....and sorry for all the Playmofriends-friends....lately I´m very busy and the time for Forums is less and less....but I continue working and making special parts ;D
Soon I put some of my latest news.....I promise.... :-[

Hey Cheng my friend!
In my book, we'll be meeting in 11 days now. I can't wait!
Don't forget to bring your avatar to Paris!
My house is a mess but you're very welcome to visit my playmo desk!
-
I didn't think of bringing my avatar...maybe I need it to identify myself to you, Arnaud!
Already in London and I managed to find two red Kepis in Bicester....I guess there were no adult collectors living nearby.
And Tahra, would u believe I walked past Hamleys without going in?? And u were right...they are in john Lewis but I wasn't able to find any red Kepis....I guess someone beat me to it.

:o HOW COULD YOU!?
(and.. what's Bicester?)
-
Just a premium brands village north of London city....will be in Leicester area later today...maybe I'll find more red kepis just for my adrenaline...sorry administrators....I wanted to start a thread but my mobile internet is very difficult to use.
-
I guess you'll do an army when you get back home!
(shame we didn't cross.... :( )

I should leave some...otherwise I'll not be welcome here anymore...btw, one can feel for the rifle or kepi or sabre...too many clues....I just wish they are series 9.....I have more to find.

On my one groping session, I only had time to go for the gladiator - thank the gods for that stupid shield!
(waiting for series 9..............hopefully today or tomorrow!)
-
Just got home from Harrods with my third southerner!
...this is really a value pack with new rifles, sabre etc...if separately purchased from DS will cost a bomb

Hello cheng,
We had two long days in succession on Sunday (a six hour drive home) and Monday (up at about 05:45) and then I fell asleep Monday night after dinner and forgot to call you. I tried twice this evening on the London number, but no answer. Sorry about all this! It's old age! PM me your mobile number and I'll call you tomorrow, Wednesday.
Gordon
-
My fault too Gordon...been out hunting playmos everyday...its summer and we get home after a late dinner...will pm shortly
-
It was good to talk with you, cheng, dear friend. Maybe one day, it will be face to face if I get a smart 'phone, or do you have Skype on that troublesome laptop of yours?
-
Not sure if a figure at Harrods can be considered a good deal though...
