just using old parts....nothing new for me from 2014 sets :'(
...and 1 question, do you think they could have sometimes roll up just one sleeve (chinese dress codes in those days would have been very loose...nevermind the pun :D )

We were talking just yesterday night with two friends I went to dinner with about the way you make the hair buns on that Freddie Mercury wig, compared to a 3D print I had in mind.
Then we talked about the long coat and thick trousers over short boots… and everything's there in your pic!
I'm just surprised you're showing one soldier with a composite bow, when it's known that the the crouching terracotta soldiers actually had crossbows. Are there terracotta soldiers known to have carried bows?
I love the polearms too!

For an archer, rolling up the sleeve of the arm holding the bow would make sense as it would prevent the bow string when it was released catching on any crease in the material of the sleeve. That's partly why archers have a leather guard on the wrist holding the bow (the other reason is because being caught on the bare arm by a bowstring is very painful!).

those wigs+buns are still temporary..after seeing your 3D samurai half-shaven crowns, I think you can make 3D hair+buns better (with grooves for hair and tighter & higher hair-line, keep in mind that their long hair is pulled up tightly)
it seems those terracotta soldiers had colorful uniforms (much to my dislike)
but I'm actually making Qin soldiers (but named these 'terracotta' for identity)
....its said that they used both crossbows and regular bows.
as for the pole arms, again, my crude and temporary 'Ge' (frightening for both the enemy riders and their pitiful horses) will be easily outclassed by your 3D if you ever do.

More great work there, I'm sure some of the solider must have rolled up the sleeves after all it's only natural whether or not you actually see any record of that is another matter but, I guess at the end of the day they're your figures so it's up to you whether you want one or both sleeves rolled up and as Gordon says it would in a some ways make a lot of sense tor ool the slleve up so it doesn't get in the way :)

and thanks too DrDalek6! The single rolled up sleeves did trouble me a bit....maybe more than a bit because I was thinking of correcting them had you and Gordon not replied ;D
another playmo weapon I've not bought for my Asian armies are black crossbows....would any medieval armies have taken the trouble to paint/varnish them black? any advantage in black?

Well paint or varnish would protect the wood from moisture, but I see no advantage with black paint. Except it looks good! ;D
