Yeah the beard and moustache combo is especially charming and the nice bugle strap in blue is really offset by all those grey "clothing". A nice illustration of the parts coming together for a greater whole.

I think he looks great...

.. except the beard being too "high".. Maybe the "canteen" strap fits beside the beard?

I have serious problems with the beards... not being compatible with some neckpieces (going too high), and worse, going too low. The old ones had a thingie under, that would keep them in place. New ones don't, so they come way down....

Yes, you're right - it should be underneath the rifle barrel.

No it should be to the right side of the barrel (when seen from the shooter's POV).

You really got that "soldier's on campaign appearance" and i love it  :love:

Also I never thought about using the canteen as a powder horn!!! That is  a great suggestion!!
