a bit? 8} :o :-\ It's way too expensive. We really planned on going there, but with 3 kids it's almost undoable.
I just cannot understand why it has to cost so much. Sadly enough....
-
Think I'd rather spend that money on a decently sized playmobil set. :(
-
I just saw a commercial for this event on tv, nice how they involve the clickies in it with a bit of stop motion.

We are thinking to go , because we missed the Utrecht '10 exposition , so this one we will be their i hope so .

I always enjoy these exhibitions so I'd love to go, but does anyone know why the price is that high?
Is it bigger than average exhibitions? Is it because of the commercials on tv :)? Is it the only way to get it organized/ payed for?
-
I guess the price is so high because it"s 1 : In the ' Paleis het Loo ' , that's pritty pricy , 2; Playmobil is co organizer so they need to pay their workers , on a exposition all vendor's are their without getting payed i believe .
It is bigger then LuxDay's i believe , the popular themes all have their own place ( Knights , Pirates , etc.)
& Their would be i guess more reason's that we dont know about.

PM is co-hosting? Does that mean there will be no sellers?
-
I was at Utrecht in 2010 and that was awesome. No sellers there though, just an official Playmostore. I reckon this will be the same.
The entry price is - to say the least - incredibly high and very greedy. The organizers justify this by claiming "you can also visit the Palace het Loo gardens"....yes..Lets take my two kids to a PLAYMOBIL exhibition and then tell them they will have to go look at flowers as well :) :)
Still, I'm gonna be attending, I can't resist :)

I agree with keesinho,
It's absolutely rediculous. We simply can't afford for this, with 5 kids. They should have realised this.
It's a great location, but if that is the cause of this rediculous price, why not choose a cheaper location?
-
hello ,
it's great to show versaille again , i can have any jugement for the price you ask because i don't have any idee of the cost you get ....
Anyway , it's sad for the people who don't have many money but it's just nobody's fault !!
this could interest me : i will expose (alone) . on 200 M2 but i will have cost as well . What is a reasonnable price for you to see something like that ? It can be dificult to find a good compromise between cost and what people want to pay and how much will get in .
-
it's not that we don't want to pay, we simply cannot afford it.
5x €19 in my mind, is rediculous for something like this. Especially in a location like the palace het Loo.
It would actually cost us a lot more, going in with 3 children. The trip, the entry fee and then drinks and food etc.
A reasonable entry would be like €8 or €9. That would attract way more visitors, who drink; eat and buy more stuff.
Just for comparison: If i go to a themepark called Drievliet that's closeby, i'd pay the same.
Legoworld is probably 2 or 3 times bigger, and that costs only €1 more than this.
A lot of friends and family were talking about the same, the high entry fee. It's a shame.
But it's not only this exhibition, take a look at parks like Disney or de Efteling: a regular entry ticket is €32 .... and parking the car costs a staggering €10 >:(

Hello
Mfrankena ; hum , i understand you cannot affort it , it's not a bad idea to do special price for people who have many child , unemployed of special case . It's not easy to find a place to do that and i supose the cost depend of the rent of the local . Everything is relative , lots of people find a playmobil is expensive while they smoke one packet of cigarette a day , 50E for a psy is expensive but 80E to go to the haidresser is reasonnable ...
We spend so much money in plastic !! 8 or 9E : many thanks for your answer ! i think it could be different for a permanent exbition and an event , for me a reasonnable price won't be more than 5E for adult and less for child who usually comes with their parents (in france a zoo or a aquarurim cost near 20E ) I have a project but i don't know how many money i had to spend in a local in time (and furnitures) and if 1000 or 10000 person will come each years , i know the less i spend to do someting and the less entry i will have . Anyway , maybe MC GYVER could maybe answer you , i read somewhere he "eat spagetti" to buy playmobil so i don't think he try to be rich showing his playmobil .
Best regards Jeremy

Would be better to have a cheap entry and gain profit from selling playmobil there. That way you get your money's worth.
People who already need to pay so much to get in there would probably not be very likely to spend more money to buy playmobil there.

Hello Rhalius , It can be a solution but it's not a good solution for me : in france it's always like that , i suppose sellers brings money but maybe people too ; for me it's two differents things and it's better to not mix this kind of event , sometimes i'm afraid sellers becames more important than the exibition . anyway you have a second chance with sellers if the exibition is 10 mm ... I meant playmobil selling it officially. Would be a great place to sell DS items that cant be bought in stores.
