Title: 3448 Inn - Steck (Building System) Flyer Insert
Post by: Wesley Myers on May 27, 2013, 04:19:57
In my never-ending search for more ideas for Playmobil Steck castles and medieval buildings I came across this flyer insert for the 3448 Inn.

It is clear by reading the opening statement that Steck was meant to be a building system.  I know previously on this site others have tried to refute this fact, but it's clear.

Anyway, enjoy the photos!

Hello Wesley Meyers,

Thank you very much for scanning and posting these wonderful inserts.

As you are well aware, there has been much discussion here at Playmofriends about what Playmobil is (and isn't).

Even the head of Playmobil's Research and Development Department doesn't think that Playmobil was ever meant to be a "construction toy". Maybe it's the word "construction" that causes some confusion. Because, as you have clearly shown and stated, Playmobil was indeed meant to be a "building system"!

And, as everyone can easily see from the attached picture ... It wasn't just Steck in the 1970s, the original Western houses were also meant to be a "building system"!

Thanks again and all the best,
Richard

Great pictures, I particulary like the one where the clickies are building a house.  :)

Another thank you to you for posting these.  Oh how I wish I had more of the little miniskirt girls with their white head kerchiefs.  Alas, my son was only interested in the knights and western themes in these early days so I have very few of the female klickies.
