Title: The execution of Jack Crusoë ...
Post by: Hadoque on February 10, 2013, 17:27:30
Castaway Jack Crusoë finally got of his little Carribean island, but the ship which picked him up turned out to be a British frigate. They've now arrived in Panamaica,  and poor Jack will be hanged for piracy!  :0

I've seen custom-gallows before, but I came up with own version rather accidently while working on my harbour yesterday evening. Thought to share the pic...  (he doesn't really hang yet, so I hope it is okay to show it like that)

Very well done, Hadoque! My French will have to built several of these to cope with all the captured redcoats...

That's an interesting way to do it... only missing a trapdoor ;)

And I hadn't thought of using the stone age for a pirate - well done! He looks really good...

A very clever mix of figures and parts, Erwin.   :wave:

Thanks  :)

It is macabre, but a habourtown needs a good spot for punishing piracy...

only missing a trapdoor ;)

I first thought of using a trapdoor from a castle, but if I use it I can't fit the gallow. The gallow can only be attached  to the middle of a 2-section steckpart of the lower construction.  For using a trapdoor, I'd have to think of another way of assembling the gallow...

Make him stand on a bucket. Then kick the bucket!  8}

I like the look of this and might try one myself.  As for the trap door dilemma you could use a bucket like cowabunga said or maybe a chair.   :loco:

Don't be! I'm sure Erwin has planned a last second rescue. Probably involving a tamed rabbit!  :lol:

Nice custom! I've often thought of doing a gallows for my western town. It is a bit macabre, but it was also a part of life in those days. I want to do a coroner's office and hearse, too. Death is a part of life.

And btw, thanks for not having a custom strangled klicky hanging from it. ;)
