I've been waiting to get my hands on a supermarket set (3200), but it's a bit too expensive and the building doesn't seem to have actual walls anyway, so I decided to use something else in stead.
Here's the supermarket I made for my clicky town :)

Upstairs there's an apartment for one. The lady currently renting the place is pretty happy because she can pop down for some snacks at any time 8-)

Oh that's just lovely! Very convincing and well-stocked. I really like the small apartment up above too, the way you have arranged it. Very efficient use of a small space. Sort of like a modern take on my western general store with the home above.
Where is that baby from, with the duck on his shirt?

That's a great store Birdie :)
Love the way you positioned everyone, especially the woman peeking at the cakes!
-
This is a perfect sized store, Birdie! Agree that the layout and use of space is very clever.

Great store Birdie, it looks just right for a small but complete market.
-
Nice supermarket Birdie. That apartment is so lovely, very cozy.
-
Thanks a lot everyone :)
I like how they made the conveyer belt: you can spin a wheel to make it go round.
@ Bonnie: the baby comes with the hotel (and I swapped its orange legs for fuchsia-coloured ones)

Nice supermarket, Birdie! I was wondering if the green pillows on the red couch upstairs were homemade. Either way, they look great! :)
-
I love it.
Great market and the little apartment upstairs is fantastic.
Great creativity.

Looks like a great place for clickies to do their shopping! unfortunatly my clickies dont have this luxury so they keep raiding my fridge. ;)

Besides being an awsome supermarket, bonus points for no CCTV camera surveillance.
boooooo Big Brother.

I just think there are no CCTV's from playmobil yet
Or do the police/burglar sets have some?

yep! Look here (http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3159.htm) my kids love playing with that cam.
Anyhow, very nice supermarket. Lady with the cart looks like us, stocking up every week for 5 LOL

Oooh, hadn't noticed the camera before. Thanks for the picture!

Thanks  They're home-made: green cloth, some cotton wool and a needle and thread. But that is about as far as my 'craft skills' go :)

That looks great :) like a nice general store with a big empthasis on the fresh side looks like a great place to shop, I like the bags on the end of the till reminds me of proper supermarkets, garden centre etc. I love the apartment upstairs looks realistically layed out like a squished but, cozy apartment, I noticed the old radio and TV had them as a kid simple but, lovely charming pieces

That's a very clever use of the 3965 house, and nicely detailed and photographed.
If supermarket owner feels the need to expand at any time, I have a 3965 house I want to get rid of!
-
It was all amazing.
And it was super creative.
I bet that took a while to make! :yup:
EMILY

That looks absolutely great!
I love all the little details

Great market and the idea of mixed use buildings is becoming more popular around here. I really like your use of the house for a market.
-
Thanks! I prefer the steck buildings, but those medieval houses are so tiny inside.
If only I had enough pieces to cover the holes in the system-X walls...

Don't need another house just yet, but I was disappointed to see the extention floors/ add-ons for the 3965 house are no longer available on the PM website.
