No, I'm shocked at how great they look! Did you sculpt the boots to make the feet?

thanks Tahra! ;)
I did, a little, especially between the big toe and the rest of their toes to take the straw what-you-call thingy :P
-
Yeah!!!! They looks really great.
Excellent creation, congrats.
George.

:woohoo: :woohoo:
It was either that or lacquer red armor on white sleeves, I guess. And since these arm greaves are not even close to showing up, that's the best compromise.

Great, as always, cheng! ;)
-
thanks Pynedor
....or lacquer red armor on white sleeves, ....
Hai, Arnaud-san! that's another good way of looking at them ;)
-
These look great!!! :)9
-
These really do look fantastic, cheng!
-
thanks bb! and you know there's a new klicky somewhere (can't recall) with new WHITE rolled-up, strapped and buttoned, sleeves?! but I won't be needing them, big thanks to you ;)
-
I don't think I've seen that! But I don't have as good an eye for spotting parts for customizing.
-
here he is, bb..certainly too expensive for me to buy 20 of him :P
anyway samurai(s) cant have those straps and buttons
-
Superb customs, Cheng! They look great! 8-)

thanks Hadoque!

I wanted (many) him since I first spotted him but thanks to bb, I'm happy with my cheaper and still PM rolled-up sleeves.
BUT when convenient, may I see a photo of this smart pilot? (of course nothing is as good as having him in your hands to examine and enjoy ;) ) or is he an air steward?

I'll take a pic of him one of the next days, I first have to get his parts and put him back together

you customised him, Hadoque?! I'd like to see what you did with his sleeves! did you post this custom here?

Here are the sleeves, I used them on the brother-in-law of the city's baker...
-
ah, thank you for sharing, Hadoque!
hmm, you have a white coat and I like the hairy chest,
this must have been in a story telling thread, I almost never have time to read them :P
I hope to see more customs using these white arms...maybe on a modern day sailor? HEY!! I can do this...soon, and thanks again!! ;)
-
do you have him Hadoque?
I like to see if his rolled-up sleeves match our PM orangy brown torsos
-
No, not yet. I won't be buying the Hotel Theme's van just to get this guy  , so I've put him on my DS-list.
Will take some time to get him though as I've too much else to do momentarily, so all DS-orders have to wait...
I looked at the klicky yesterday at the back of the box in a store, and the torso/arm-colour seems a kind of red, but not as red as usual, it looks like somewhere between orange and red :-\
And it is not 100% certain yet he actually comes with these rolled-up sleeves as shown;
Someone on Klickywelt bought the set and the klicky came with the standard short sleeves ???
Maybe it was a single production-mistake, but other possibilities are that the pictures (catalogue and box) are wrong, or that between the prototype and production phase they decided to delete the rollep-up sleeves and go to standard short sleeves to save a bit on plastic...
To Gaston (Tonguello) happened the same thing with a Suprise Figure; it came with short sleeves instead of rolled-up ones...
-
I guess this is why there are so few Samurai customizers, because they are all too intimidated by your very impressive Samurai Cheng! :wow:
Can you pleeeease tell me how to make that drum? ;D
And where are you getting these rolled up sleeves? ???

thanks for your interesting comments Hadoque!
a lot of 'maybe's from me too;
some new colours (maybe the hotel doorman's pink is necessary and maybe these new colours will attract more girls/moms to buy BUT this orange/red torso/sleeve shade may not make any difference to boys(maybe their moms) ::)
maybe more unique & unmatchable colours is Geobra's way of reducing customising? ;D
but surely will increase production/stocking cost(listing them, change colours of raw materials etc)
but its definitely painful to even receive occassional mistakes from what's shown on boxes :P

youve been away from PF for a while, while I've been going overboard making these rolled-up sleeves (being fed-up with those newer button&strap sleeves) in several threads using those animal bandages
