Title: wealthy knights
Post by: cheng on October 15, 2012, 05:36:48
needed some old legs so I swopped 2 expensive knights' legs for 2 medieval footmen's legs...I dont suppose its possible that such common soldiers are issued with such nice 'boots' :P

This is oddly matched. Those legs should be red, IMO. Of course, if you only had those...better black legs than two stumps on a skate board!

youre right Arnaud, no way can their long shirts change colour just below their belts but I needed their legs in a hurry...I'll hunt for something not totally impossible :P

They look fine in black to me. :) Maybe they dyed the bottoms, or they once fell into a tar pit or something.

They look good, but like Arnad said, they'd look better in red! Good idea, cheng! Been some time since we did any cusoms with such an old torso!!!

ok guys ;)
they didnt have to ask their wives to sew nor dye to stop comments about their fashion sense. ;D
....they just exchanged their legs with another pair of guards....unfortunately, not so dashing anymore :P

They still look good with either set of legs.

Ditto. Although, I think that the first ones look more like knights because of their leg armour, and the second ones look like foot soldiers or guards.

Great customs they look good with both sets of legs. I've got a figure which I bought from the market whose got similar legs to on the first set of photos but, with red instead of black, if you would like I can see if they've got any more the next time I go down there although I normally on go down there on the rare occassion when I've got an appointment in town every couple of months since I volunteers 5 days a week  ;)

This is what he looks like he originally came with oriental face but, I did a head swap

Red or Black, your custom work 'works' for me. Keep up the great work.

thanks PFs!!

and DrDalek6.....I used to be very keen in building knight armies and castles but I moved on to ACW then to Napoleonics and now stuck at Asians.
so my knights are old PM stuff with occassional new parts which I buy just out of curiosity and perhaps for completeness(collection) but sadly, no more desire to expand my knights, in fact I was disassembling a couple for their legs to use elsewhere.
I'm sure there are many members here who are very interested in these new knight's legs and will PM you for your kind offer ;)
thanks again! :)
