Hello noting what other people have done then I think that I'll try to use this thread to record any new members of my Playmobil family. To start off with I was having a look in some cahrity shops on Saturday morning and thought that I may as well stop off at the little local toy shop while I was in the area, after a bit of browsing I saw a few sets which I liked for the price inclduing a Knights set with 2 Knights, a horse, and cannon for £9.99 which I decided to make a mental note of and go back for some other time but, while I was in there I did buy some sets
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1010767web.jpg)
£2.50 each, I think there might have only been 1 Indian unless he was hidden at the back couldn't see him in any of the sets facing forwards but, there was 1 in the ones where you could just see the side so I was rather pleasantly surpsrised.

Gotta say I love this guy, love the look and colour of the hair and beard eyebrows look good, I think the shield design looks really cool as do the wrist protectors, I had one like it as a kid with a Robin Hood figure in brown. Even the boots whcih are a bit colourful look alrgiht with the outfit.
Very nice cloak as well
-
Nice hair! I rather like that guy, but he doesn't fit into my victorian collection, so I've never gotten one.
-
I was definately happy with my other figure, my first Indian ;D might be the start of something after all what's an Indian Chief without some tribesmen and of course I really like Cowboys ;), anyone have any idea what sort of Indian he is apart from American of course thanks

I love the detail on this figure and the costume beautifully painted the headress is nice and can always use the spears although if I were being fussy it might be better to give him 1 spear and something else, seen plenty of the Chief figures with shield for example. the headress is quite a nice piece and I like his warpainted face almost looks like blue whiskers.
My friends said he should have a proper Indian name so we came up with a few I think the simplest names are often the best though so I think I'll call him Chief Little Klick ;D ;) he's from the Great expanse of land known as the Botanical Plains. :)
-
Chief Little Klick, very fitting.
-
Nice buys! :)
-

Thanks I think my colleciton is rather mismash, I've got themes which I particularly like but, it's all a bit mixed up go for the figures I like the look of ;D
Chief Little Klick, very fitting.
Yes I thought it might be a good name for him, my friends suggested Chief Little Klick runs with suqirrels to which I suggested rides with squirrel either way down here it's quite appropriate as we've got over tame squirrels in abundance ;D ;).
Nice buys! :)
Thanks mate
-
I love that native American chief!! I bought one a year or two ago and I think the detail on his headress is great. Nice buys! :)

True I really love the design his chest as well and the war paint on his face is quite cute :). Also just notcied the Barbarian looks like he might be one of the fat Klickies by the looks of his belly ;D

Went to the cinema on Saturday to see the new Judge Dredd film and decided to have a look round some shops before I met up with my friend, I bought 2 kids for £2.75, 2 Firemen for £4 and a Mystery figure for £1.99
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020027.jpg)
After much packet feeling in Toysrus and getting excited finding 2 or 3 figures with capes and then feeling the squarish helmet of the Alien I finally foudn one where the cape felt different and I could feel a rather distinctive hair piece, he's the one I was after ;D ;). I really like Elvis's hair, a goood basis for a Greaser bash I think and I thin k it's good that he's got a microphone
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020030.jpg)
I really like both the Firemen the uniform design and colours are just to my liking and the helmets look really good, they come with some nice accessories as well axes, torch, walkie talkie, great oxygen tank and mask and the all important gloves :fireman:
One thing I would say is I'm not sure whether I'd have been inclined to put Playmobil on their backs sort of takes away from the realism I think but, I don't midn and besides I really like the rest of the figure.

I read someplace Urban never removes the helmet - is it true? (Urban = - Xenite here!)

I don't really DISLIKE them having playmobil on them.. though I see your point. What I can't stand is the sloppy painting :(
Cool purchases :) You are right about the elvis hair - though I don't much like it, it would definitely work as a greaser..
-
Again I really like the kids nice bright colours on the clothes the little girls trousers and sheos and are really nice in fact so's the detail on her top but, as for the little boy just love that outfit the tshirt colour and design is cool, not so sure about the bright shade of orange the other orange cap I've got I'm sure is pretty much the same just not quite as bright an orange personally would have had the caps in 2 different colours.
Meeting the other kids the little boy is happy that he's no longer the only boy ;D
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020035.jpg)
Rather unsurprisingly I guess all the girls and all the boys have the same old hair style rather more strangely they've all got blonde or brown hair ??? 8} strange coincidence

Thanks I'm guessing by Urban you're referring to Judge Dredd? ??? I've not read the comics (not my era although that doesn't usually stop me!) but, one of my friends at work loves them and passed on his enthusiasm, the film is great very violent beautiful graphics and slow mo shots, at the start of the fil you see Dredd putting his helmet on but, you never get a proper look at his face. Anyway hope that I got the right end of the stick ;D :-[, back on topic.
I can certainly see what you mean and generally speaking most things like that don't bother me all that much and it doesn't make the figure look bad so to speak more as I said above it sort of takes away slightly from the realistic look as you wouldn't expect a Fireman to have Playmobil written on their unifom and as far as I know very few other figures have Playmobil written on their body so it's hardly as though it's soemthing that's done because it's the norm to have it on the figure although I think my old mechanic might have it written on his jacket which I think is a more appropriate context.
As for the hair it's all down to personal taste like many things I guess, I've got to say for me I really like the Elvis hair piece the detailing on it looks really as though it's been gelled up and styled don' think I'd want more than one Elvis figure but, at least one more hair piece like that would be good, have to look for some appropriate body pieces to do a bit of a custom would love to make a Greaser figure ;).
-
Nice purchases, I still need to find the Elvis fi?gure, I haven't managed to buy it yet. ::)
The kids look nice too! :)

Urban = Karl Urban = actor - plays this new Dredd, and is also on Lord Of The Rings (Eomer), and I "met" him on Xena - among others, he's Cupid. Oh, and his evil twin plays Caesar... Julius Caesar.
On topic..

I suppose you're right about "playmobil" not being very.. appropriate for a fireman's uniform... In a mechanic it's ok, I guess, I mean, some have other stuff written, right? The Valvoline and such, that we know from playmostickers since we were little, but had no idea what it was :)
The elvis hair is great for Elvis or a greaser (you read the Outsiders?), though honestly I'm not really fond of either... (I loved the book, but as a playmocustom, I'll pass).. It IS a unique hair though, and it was well executed. I mean, it really turned out great..
Love that boy in overalls. Will have to see if I can hunt him.
-
Great pics! I'm not to sure about ''Playmobil'' on the firemen either. It works for racing mechanics who would have sponsors, but it's weird on a fireman's uniform.
So I've been wondering, what are those big cone things the kids are holding? Is this a cultural thing?
-
So I've been wondering, what are those big cone things the kids are holding? Is this a cultural thing?
Yes, apparently full of little gifts for children on their first school day... in Germany - wondered about that with the first special :)
-
These kids get gifts for going to school?! :o I was lucky if I got new pencils!
PlaymoDB calls them ''treats'', but I wasn't sure what that meant exactly. I mean, it's too big for just snacks.
-

Thanks the kids are quite nice, good bright colours and with Elvis it took a lot of feeling different packets to find him ;D

I see what you mean now sorry I'm not much up on actors names and that :-[ 8}. I think the Playmobil on the mechanic was meant to be like team playmobil or something he originally came with a Formula 1 car technically speaking he looks more like one of the technicians who sit on the pit wall (in case you haven't guessed I'm a big Formula 1 fan have always been one as well ;D ;)) soem Ebay auctions have Playmobil motorbike riders described as Footballers because they've got Striker written on them a footballer with wellies
I can understand your view on Elvis/Greasers as I said personal taste, I've got to admit I haven't read the Outsiders maybe I'll look it up I did try greasing my hair back as best I could the style doesn't seem to lend itself to my short curly hair either that or I'm a rubbish stylist. Guessing you're referring to the blond boy with the light blue top and brown dungarees/shoes? he's from the woodwork class 4326 .

Yes I guessed they would either be a gift for the teacher or something which the teacher has given the kids.

Lucky kids wish I got something like that at school ;)

Just got 3 new men for 99p each from a very nice seller on Ebay, I originally contacted them to ask whether the Soldier had a little ponytail and when I was about to pay for him decided to have a look at their other items and noticed his 2 friends who were finishing a few days later so mesaged them to let them know why I wasn't paying straight away. After that we exchanged several messages the seller seems very friendly and said the belonged to their son. Anyway here they are looking very happy
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020103.jpg)
As usual I rather like all 3 of them the uniforms are all nice and I like the hair on the 2 with the little ponytails, I'm glad to have an archer to add to my medieval community and his face is rather unusual with the stubble and eye patch
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020107.jpg)
They very kindly included a little chocolate first time for everything, unfortunately I don't like nuts :-[ but, I appreciate the gesture (the little fellas can have it instead ;D ;))

Yeah it would be cool to have one like that I should add No Klickies were harmed in the making/eating of that cake I think my Mum did a Hanzel and Gretel style cake for me or my sister with Playmobil kids, we had a train, Noah's Ark with toy animals, my toy Alladin and Jasmine riding on a magic flying carpet etc. good times ;D now where's that book of kids birthday cakes ...

Went down into town to get my Mum a Sudoku book for Christmas so I stopped off at the Makret on the way, saw plenty of temtping Playmobil down there which I resisted including a flying carpet like I had as a kid but, I couldn't resist entirely ;D
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020456_zpsda7a6fa9.jpg)
Spotted the Thunderbirds vehicles on another stand, the stall holder said he thought they were 50p each and asked me where they were from so I pointed the box out and he said 20p each, not going to say no to them at that sort of price ;), they'll go nicely with the Thunderbird 2 in the cabin at Botanics only a pity the nose cones are rubber not plastic. Anyway back to the Playmobil.
Chief Littleklick's glad not to be the only Indian anymore some great accessories although the Bevaer? skin is a little odd
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020461_zps862d5010.jpg)
I think the little boy will be adopted as the Chief's son might call him Little Bear, woman will probably be his Grandma not sure what I'll call her though :-\ :indian:
The 1990's Knights have been on my wanted list for a while so I snapped him up he's quite cool I like his shield and cloak and I noticed his bag of provisions as he calls it when I got home bonus!
-
I thought I'd seen a set with a wheelbarrow on previous visits so was hoping to find one with a wheelbarrow yesterday for my boys to use when doing gardening or conservation work, well not quite a wheelbaror but, I noticed this just in time very happy now that they've got some tools.
The Klicky's alright I like his flat cap and the plant's look quite good, the chainsaw looks good but, it makes whoever's holding it rather top heavy it was a particular hit with the gardeners though.
Very happy with the rake looks simple but, realistc they can help me with leafing now ;D.
I wanted to get them these tools amongst others and was expecting the secateurs to be quite hard to find very pelased to find them, now the boys can do some pruning as well. Pity they didn't make some loppers and a bow saw can't help but, think of the saw I got with the woodwork shop as a wood saw, somehow feel it woudl be frowned upon to have them pruning with a woodsaw (been in the trade to long 8} ::))

Wow, nice purchases! <*)
Thaks mate glad you like them :)

Great additions to your work crew. I do not know if you are talking about the fine woodworking hand saw but there is also the other one that resembles a bowsaw, check 30 60 0180 on the DB they both are in that part number. There is also the power hedge trimmer for gardeners. Oh yes and chainsaws are very heavy and even make a human top heavy ;) just ask my back

Thanks for the part number must not have spotted that other saw looks much closer to a bowsaw, I think I've seen the hedge trimmer before as well never know might well be another useful tool for them, hopefully I'll be able to get them a wheelbarrow and some more tools in the near future.
Have worked with strimmers, mowers (pedstrian and ride on), cultivators etc. at College am not allowed to use them at Botanics because I'm not insured but, I can use the backpack leafblowers all of which are fairly heavy so I can well imagine that a chainsaw would also be quite heavy particularly with all the heavy duty safety gear :).
-
You can get clear plastic stands which will allow your klickies to stand up while holding a chainsaw. The part number is:

Thanks I'm fairly certain I've seen them before but, never really acknowleded them, never know could be useful in the future when I've ogt more free cash to spend :) ;)
-
Thanks to Skypurr the boys have now got a wheelbarrow plus extras :yippee:
He got a very warm welcome apart from my Mum giving him a fright shouting at me :o because I didn't hear her say are you ready, apparently I'm regressing because I brought back some of my childhood toys :-\ 8} :hmm: who were on my shelf for ages and then stayed down at the Botanical Gardens for ages, just wanted to spend some quality time with them :-[ Poor fella also got a bit squished on my lap in the car with everyone wanting to say hello
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020679_zps9dade8ea.jpg)
He was rather confused to find his twin wiaiting for him when he arrived, I've got to say though his hair seems to be a rather unusual shade of orange/red and I like his yellow cap

Love the twins pic... Maybe you need to detwin them?
-
Nice to see long lost twins reunited again.
Such a clean shaven group of gardeners can certainly be trusted to trim any garden, though I hope they take turns with that chainsaw since it seems very heavy. :)
-

Maybe but, I always feel weird about exchanging the hair and stuff even if it's just to create a new look it's sort of as though you're taking away the original character of the figure particularly if they're 2nd hand also I quite like the fact that his hair is a weird shade of orange makes him distinct from his tiwn could even see it in the dark on the way back from Liverpool on the other hand it always seems odd seeing Klickies all produced with the same colour hair like all the 90's Policemen blonde ???
Nice to see long lost twins reunited again.

Well they've got me for a teacher and I do know my stuff when it comes to gardening ;) (I should do I'd be worried if I'd been studying for 2 years and volunteering for over 4 and didn't know what I was doing). Although having said that I have my silly moments and the guys have already tried chainsawing through the bannana and the satsuma (one of the Knights made enough mess squirting juice when he used his sword to open the satsuma, besides the bannana'll clog up the chainsaw if the woodchiper was anything to go by ) one of them was also trying to cut through Action Man's leg suffice to say he wasn't impressed :hmm:
-
Glad they arrived OK. The photos are great.
I put the klicky in because I thought he looked the part, not realising that his twin was there
I expect his hair is darker as he hasn't been out in the sun as much as his twin - we haven't had much sun lately here in Scotland
Make sure he does his share of the work - threaten to deprive him of his haggis neaps and tatties if he doesn't! ;D

Nice looking expanding work crew you have. One tool I never understood is the blue broom you have in the picture. What is it supposed to be for? A push broom has a 45 degree bend on the handle but this one is straight.

I expect his hair is darker as he hasn't been out in the sun as much as his twin - we haven't had much sun lately here in Scotland
Make sure he does his share of the work - threaten to deprive him of his haggis neaps and tatties if he doesn't! ;D
Elaine (http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac300/skypurr/mgqueen.gif)
The twins were talking earlier and they figured they'd both been separated at birth : (if only they knew there were millions more of them out there it would blow their minds 8}) Don't worry I'll make sure of that he's been quite happy helping out so far once he got settled ;D ;), oh dear poor fellow might get a bit homesick after a while deprived of all his Scottish treats :(
Nice looking expanding work crew you have. One tool I never understood is the blue broom you have in the picture. What is it supposed to be for? A push broom has a 45 degree bend on the handle but this one is straight.
Thanks :) the crew's growing quite nicely don't know whether they'll all stay as part of the main team when I hopefully get some more figures to turn into a BTCV crew but, they do the job quite nicely for the minute and they'll certainly still work as a Botanical Gardens team where the safety vests aren't important.
So far I've only used the brush as a background prop only 2 types of basic brushes that I can think of indoor or outdoor ???, I'm not one for angles but, I see what you mean it looks alright with a Klicky holding it but, the angle just doesn't quite work only thing I can thing is that perhaps they think it would look weird if you had the handle set back at that angle or that it wouldn't work as you wouldn't be able to bend the arm right I don't know I'm not technical. I'm not that keen on the bright colours either alright red or blue is appealing for a kid but, not realistic if you're setting up a scene don't see many bright blue brushes or yellow gras hooks, green I can live with for the rakes some of the ones we've got our all a more muted green.
-
Personally I prefer my crews to use the orange, red or yellow. A green rake get easily lost and left on the job sites. The brighter the color the easier it is for the clean up crew to scan a job site and see any tools left behind. They stupidly make camouflage chainsaws and I will never understand why? The last thing you want to do is not see a chain saw on the ground and crush it with a felled tree. I want my guys to use chain saws that have flashing lights on them  better yet is camo work clothing. why do you not want to be seen on a job especially if there is equipment running.

;D A very good counter point I easily lose my full size tools(saws, loppers, shears etc. in particular) I've left a trowel in my bucket in the past and tipped it into a bag of nettles :o ouch why just last Friday I was cleaning the cabin and managed to lose the cloth for wiping down the tables I've no idea how I brushed and mopped up but, there was no sign of it so I don't know where that went 8}. My first measure against losing tools is to keep them ina small sealable bag and keep that clsoe at and so that I can bag them up and put them in my pocket when I'm done I've also got some tiny tubs from one of my old acne medicines which are useful for storing secateurs flowers etc. although with the frequent toy wars at the Botanics it's surprising that I'm able to find anything

I had some appointments this week so I got the chance to stop off at Toysrus, I was pleased to fidn that they'd got the Series 3 figures in so I took the opportunity to get the ones I wanted while they had a good quantity available
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020765_zps18d309d2.jpg)
I forgot to get the Pirate first time around but, fortunately I had to go back to the same place twice this week so I stopped by again to find him, he's my first baldie and he's really cool llike his tattoos and little weapon, not sure about the belt seems a pity to keep the printed design hidden, strange choice of cuffs as well considering he's got bald arms
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020769_zpsbb59401b.jpg)
The Dwarf is really cool I like him overall although I wish his wrist bands wouldn't rotate so freely
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020773_zps84f98be4.jpg)
The clear fella's great can see him being good to play several different roles like a futuristic space explorer, alien, or a cyborg say, it's good to see Playmobil being a bit creative with these last 2 particularly. I like his body and his blue hair (I got 2 extras of that hair yay) it looks funky on most figures I've tried it with, the one thing I'm not keen on is the pattern on his visor :-\ I'm sorry but, to me it just makes me think of those kids disguises with the glasses, big nose and moustache I would have preferred just to have a plain visor or or one with a different pattern
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020781_zpsef148393.jpg)

I wanted to get the driver being a Formula 1 fan, he would really have been better done with his own racing car but, considering his resemblance to the 2 Red Bull drivers and the popullarity of Formula 1 I can see why Playmobil has released a figure whose uniform so closely resembles that of the current 3 times world champion
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020790_zps99bea5cd.jpg)
Fianlly the Grenadier Guard I like him he's got a nice smart but, simple uniform and I really like his little gun it looks really good they did the bayonet quite well but, what's the little black thing with the hook meant for? ??? just can't figure that one out
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020771_zps4eec1de8.jpg)
Hope you don't mind these last photos but, my guard's made a new friend
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020791_zps254fe8cf.jpg)
His name's Matt one of my first Vintage Action Men and an ex talker from the late 60's he needs some uniform pieces replacing with more accurate ones but, he's pretty much complete. I think he approves of his little friend ;)

Those are great additions :)
That extra part is not a part of the set. It's used to attach stuff to those pegs in belts and such (an axe, sword, bow, whatever). Useful part, but not for that guy!
I WISH my extra hair was the blue one. We got MORE round hair. It's a PLAGUE!
Love the pics of the action man too ;D

Great additions, well done.
George. :)

Thanks I did wonder where the little black piece was meant to fit in with such a set wonder how it got in then? weird ??? Having said that it took a lot of head scratching and close scrutiny of the photos in the leaflet incldued with the clear guy before I figured where the black cable went.
I was definately happy to get extra blue hair and not just one but, 2  could make for some interesting photos later this year ;) can see how getting a common part like the round hair peice would be frustrating particularly with a collection your size although extra pieces are still extras which for me is always useful as I don't have much spare for customising on the plus side you can always try to sell or trade it, what did frustrate me was only getting one spare cuff with Elvis and the Grenadier Guard don't mean to sound ungrateful but, for the amount it'll cost me to get hold of an uneven number of cuffs it's got to a pair or nothing.
As for the Action Man I'm glad you like him I should point out that they don't normally have 'surfer blonde' hair the result of me trying to repaint it, anyway my first thought when I saw the Grenadier Guard was that I'd have to get him to go with my AM guard I think they make a nice pair ;) ;D

Thank mate glad you like them :)

Hey, at least YOU figured out what to do with the transparent guy's cables.. Mine were all wrong. :-[

The problem with the hair is that we both HATE that hair... We got SEVERAL hairs extra, on more than one set.. Normal classic triangle cut hair (though not less common) would be more useful!

They do look nice together! (and regarding his blonde hair.. variety is good! :) )

I'm very happy went into a charity shop and by amazing luck found not 1 but, 3 Playmobil vehciles :o by the looks of thm all 1990's

http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3781

I didn't have much money with me and I was due to meet a friend a bit later so I went away rather excited and distracted and went back a bit later I would have liked to have got them all but, the Construction vehicle was £4.49 and I have rather overspent this month :-[ but, when you see finds like these you can't pass them up so I bought the Fire Engine for £3.95 and the Rescue Helicopter for £2.95 :yippee:, they're missing most of the accessories and there was only one Klicky between them, poor fellow must have had a hard life as his right arm has been superglued in place :( the vehicles themselves though look to be in fairly good condition.
I might go back in a few weeks if I'm in town when the shop is open and just see if they've still got the Construction vehicle if it's not there it removes the temptation if it is I can treat myself accordign ot one of my friends at work there were about 4 or when they saw them which amkes me curious as to what else was there can only wonder :eh?:. Probably won't have any photos until next week as they're at work but, hopefully I'll have a much expanded crew by then thanks to Bonnie so it'll be worth the wait ;D
-
Those are some old vehicles. Nice find! :)

Those are some old vehicles. Nice find! :)
Thanks I couldn't believe my luck nearly walked right past them as they were hidden a bit on a table near the counter and not with most of the toys or anything I wanted to look at. I'll have to give them a good look over but, they look to be in quite good condition man it makes you appreciate what impressive vehicles they are but, for the minute I'll wait until I've taken some photos to say much more ;) :fireman:.
-
Well done, what a great find :)
I regularly visit the local charity shops and have never found so much as a klicky there. :(

Very nice additions to your growing collection. I think you should re-hide them so you can pick them up at your later date ;) Those are great prices for the crane, fire truck and helicopter .

Exactly which is part of what made it such a great find not just Playmobil but, big vehicles and not just any vehicles but, 1990's ones in fairly good condition I'd actually said to myself don't go into any charity shops before meeting my friend so I didn't get tempted to pick up any more shirts or toys since I've already spent more than enought the last few weeks what happens first charity shop I go in and find £10 - £15 worth of Playmobil :o ;D almost as though I knew in advance.
It can be very dissapointing at times it's the same story with AM's although you do find the odd one once in a while with rubbish articulation or something else to make it not worth spending money on. Hopefully will go to a few car boot sales this year and there's a toy fair at Doncaster every few months, I was amazed last year at how little intersting stuff there was at the car boot nearest to me no good AM's and no Playmobil would have thought surely to see a few klickies at least hiding in there somewhere :(.
Very nice additions to your growing collection. I think you should re-hide them so you can pick them up at your later date ;) Those are great prices for the crane, fire truck and helicopter .
Thanks :) I'd love to see the staffs faces if I wandered over looking a them and jsut discreetly started moving things to hide the crane if it's still there, might have said before but, my friend said there were 4 or 5 whent hey saw them makes you wonder what the other vehicles were perhaps a nice 80's/90's Ambulance?

Some photos, first off the new arrivals from Bonnie plus the man who came with the Fire Engine whose arm is stuck in position and the mystery figures rocker I bought from the toyshop near me on either end

The new Helicopter
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1030143_zps9250ed1c.jpg)
Think it needs a proper crew and a stretcher at least not sure what else the Fire Engine came with First Aid boxes which I think might belong to this set

Nice... The heli does need some extras... Love that helicopter too... Also like the new one, but.. restraint.
Best about the rocker is the hair! For me, the diaper ruins the effect. But easily fixed ;)
What's with the puppy?

The equipment:

Most of the stuff in this photo is my Firemens stuff which I've stored in there thing there was the grey megaphone and what looked like a screwdriver in there originally
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1030156_zps5e2aea5d.jpg)
Old blue suitcases been a while since I've seen any of them, 2 are marked up as First Aid boxes
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1030158_zps0bba3a43.jpg)
Looks like again missing plenty of parts a hose reel a shovel and some traffic cones which they can share with the Gardeners and various things which I don't know about
Training up the crew

What's with the puppy?
The puppy I was tidying a few things up and got distracted by spotting some part figures in my box of LEGO so I emptied it out to see what I could put together amazing how many arms, legs hands etc I've lost, anyhow I spotted the LEGO do that I'd added black spots to and thought he'd make a nice friend for the Playmobil dog. I'm with you on the rocker I can live with the legs (good thing since I've only got one spare set some striped pirate trousers with bare feet) but, am not overly keen on them, I bought him for his hair and his guitar the rest is alright jacket and shirt could go either way with, alternate face is ok but, I prefer the traditional face kids may disagree but, to me it says a lot.

Know what you mean not hard with that photo it may not be much of a drop for us but, for a Klicky :o I'm alrgith with most heights but, I think my spacial awareness is sometimes a bit out (couple of times a year I wake up int hte middle of the night and the room seems the wrong scale really freaky makes it hard to sleep) and last time I checked I wasn't much of a one for ladders :-[

Great set of photos. Nice to see you have some help for watering the flats of plants.

Thanks  They're actually the University's experimental plants most of the rest in there are ours though so yes a very good reason to find them a hosepipe ;)

Ah, a lego dog.. Ok :) I'm not familiar with them.
I hate those faces too.. completely off. That guitarplayer, the singer... all turned about. The problem is that most hairstyles don't conceal it, so we have to choose carefully.
-
Nice to see they all got there safe, and it looks like they're having a good time. At first glance I thought the dalmatian had a puppy on the way over! But now I see from your post that she has adopted a little alien puppy. ;)

Oh the singer urgh the guitar player I find bearable but, still defiantely prefer the old face, the new mad sicentist face welll that just looks 8} although the masked face on the blue space ranger guy from series 2 might be useful for doing one or two superhero bashes I can think of whether I actually get the parts to carry it through is another matter ;) As for the LEGO dog considering what scale it is altohugh they've also got standing dogs which I think are probably nicer don't think they were around when I was younger, problem is I think this dog's base which youse to connect it to the LEGO studs is partly broke :)

I guess you could say that  I just noticed the dog well I was looking for figures after all I thought they might like it better on the shelves then in a tub, he's only got spots painted on with a pen but, he doesn't look much worse than the Playmobil one to me at least thought he'd make a ncie bit of company ;). Oh yes and your figures are very much appreciated the Firemen have bonded with my 2 fellas and the kids are making friends in fact they're presently waiting patiently for the adults to finish modifying their sail boat in the workshop ;) thanks
-
Hello got some more new faces first off I should have really added these 2 guys a couple of weeks ago but, haven't got round to it
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1030287_zpse9d36aac.jpg)
Hopefully you can see the pilots in this photo I was veyr surprised by their arrival a few weeks ago since I knew I hadn't ordered anything and when I poened the pakcage up I found these 2 little men had been sent courtesy of Elaine (Skypurr) just what we needed so big thanks to Elaine I think they like their view across our cabin  :thanks:
Next up as you can see my original BTCV man is very excited by these new arrivals
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1030444_zps1e09d666.jpg)
I saw them on Ebay and was watching them expecting that after last time I'd become involved in a bidding war but, I managed to get the 2 guys in the high vis vests for 99p and the guy with the mucky overalls for £1.49, as an unexpected bonus I got the other guy who looks like a race driver and the dog ;D. The guy in the mucky overalls will probably be a handyman and the guys in the high vis vests will be recruited to the BTCV min carbon army and when I get the right parts they'll be customised to look like members of the real team hence yesterday evening was spent with a skewer carefully painting the BTCV on the back of their vests a true test of my not so steady hands and brushwork :-[
-
Great purchases! Nice to see that your collection is growing! :)

Thanks mate it certainly is my first BTCV man is currently acting as quality control while I add the finishing touches to the new guys logo ;)

I've just picked up on this thread.
You've got some great buys with the 3761 crane (classic PM that one) and the 3781 (ditto) and the 3789 helicopter. I'll get the parts for the 3781 off to you this coming week. Cuirrently, I'm membership secretary of the Fire Brigade Society and April is renewal time, so everything stops for that, hence me not sending you the parts sooner. I may also have spares for the helicopter. I'll print out the plans and include them with the 3781 parts.

Hello mate no problem at all the Firemen will be glad of the parts, the Fire Engine and Helicopter have unfortunately taken a slight battering at the Botanics so have been moved to safer ground not surprising that they've been bashed happens to everything at Botanics but, I know my Mum wouldn't be best pleased if she found out what I'd been buying :-[ ;) Thanks again mate it is very much appreciated :thanks: :)9 it's also reminded me to introduce my new purchases
I've had these 2 guys in the Helicopter ages Elaine sent tehm to me quite a while ago quite unexpected there arrival was as well I thought who's been sending me stuff I know I haven't been buying anything :eh?: then I opened the parcel up and what surprise to lovely little pilots for my helicopter :yippee:

Next up a few weeks ago when I stopped off at Toysrus I spotted they had an abundance of Series 4 figures so I decided tot ake advantage and try to get some figures and some points on my new Goldcard ;D I also bought a Karate figure from Series figure to try and customise his bald head and I got another Dwarf for my friend

Finally got these new guys at the Market the other week, loving the Knights the Falconery hearaldry looks good on the shields and the red soldier is quite endearing, as for the Swan Knight a must for sure I like him much better than I was expecting the moustache is in great nick and those colours really work well together. As for the S.W.A.T. guy no idea why I bought him apart from that his little face just appealed to me for some reason he strikes me more as military than S.W.A.T. and finally the colourful fella in the purple cap something about him just really works like the combinaton of bright colours a lot

Can't go wrong with that swan knight. Yours seems more cheerfull than henry due to the mustache being a bit higher. :)

Indeed he seems to have settled in nicely with the other Knights :) I noticed he seems quite smiley a very good tache he's got much better than my mechanics now rather faded moustache ;)

No well not quite :-[ it's a pond it's at the RSPCA animal centre and it's part of the memorial garden I helped to build with BTCV last year, I started doing some voluntary work there alongside my other volunteering a couple of weeks back, I intend to take some photos of my little guys admiring our work and possibly even helping out ;)

In a way thats kind of makes their smiles seem cruel, considering that they have eternal life and we don't.
Well unless someone treats them really bad. :(

Actually we walk from the area of Sheffield where I live called Crosspool over to Crookes where I can catch a bus pretty mcuh straight down to BTCV base and indeed to the RSPCA centre a couple of days a week and on the way we walk right past some allotments and Crookes cemetry but, no I understand what you mean. As for the smiles while ti's as you say if they've lived a good life then they can silently throw their heads back and have an evil laugh to themselves at how lucky they are to have eternal life ;D or if they've been cruelly mistreated or if they've just had a tough life they might eb like oh man how mcuh longer do we have to go on smiling like this my poor back's killing me :( guess we'll just never know ;)

Hello stopped off in some charity shops today and fortunately I looked up at the wall much to my surprise there were several bags of Playmobil up there 1 with some pirncesses and a King in it, 1 with a lady on horseback, 1 with a magician and these ...

I've wanted to get my guys a boat for a while now so they can join me on the pond so I'm dead excited about getting this neat litte purchase for £1.50 I still wouldn't mind getting a wooden pirate rowing boat but, hey this'll do nicely in the meanwhile
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1030789_zps35090ea9.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1030789_zps35090ea9.jpg.html)
I also got this rather nice set for £1.75 judging by the lack of English on the box plus certain other clues I'd guess this was bought overseas probably in Malta

Looks like one of my gardeners has taken a liking to him, new Dad helping him brush his teeth and get ready for bed ;)

Hello guys been a while since I've had anything new to add or at least since I've thought to upload some photos of the new purchases. First off I recieved an order of Playmobil parts the other week including some legs and a hair peice from on one of the Swan knights which I've already used for a custom figure who'll be introduced at some point
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1040385_zpsc4c725b9.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1040385_zpsc4c725b9.jpg.html)
The legs I don't need at the minute but, the ones I did need were in with the set and I'm sure I'll use them at some point, the heads with glasses will be very useful for customising figure for the mini BTCV Carbon Army including a more accurate version of myself and the Swan knights and gear for the horse well I couldn't resist picking them up :-[ I'll need to look out for the rest of the parts on Ebay inclduing a saddle to make the rider feel more comfortable.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1040395_zps56cc136b.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1040395_zps56cc136b.jpg.html)
One of my Police officers disagreed about the usefulness of these new legs
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1040400_zpsd01f3827.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1040400_zpsd01f3827.jpg.html)
"Yay no more jockey legs!" :yippee: ;D ;)
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1040389_zps9ed13452.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1040389_zps9ed13452.jpg.html)
I also picked up these guys from the market they were meant to be 75P each or 3 for £2 but, the stall holder gave me 4 for £2 plus the Dragon Archer guy for £1.75 I think I wasn't going to correct them on the unexpected discount. I bought the Aisian guy for his legs the rest for no particular reason other than I liked them, love those hair styles whatever colour they're in and the guy with the curly hair the shrit in particular I really like but, I think out of all of them the Dragon Archer has got to be the best find he seems to be complete and in good nick lovely little fella :knight:
-
I also picked up this motorbike and helemt from a charity shop last weekend for £1.75
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1040489_zps86757c71.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1040489_zps86757c71.jpg.html)
It didn't come with a rider and since this little guy had arrived as an extra with one of my orders and didn't have a vehicle to drive I decided he could have it at least until I can find the right figure now just need a visor for his helmet

Just seeing this thread for the first time now! You've managed to get some amazing deals at charity shops!

I was going to say that about the charity shops. Thats one of the most discouraging things about living in the states. No matter where I go I cant find playmobil ANYWHERE. Its just not that popular which is sad :(
I love looking at your collection. Its so much fun to see what other people have.

Thanks I'm glad to hear that you enjoy seeing other people's collections ;), can imagine it must be very dissheartening living in an area where you can't find much Playmobil is that just the 2nd hand stuff or is the new stuff airly sparse as well

I can find the new stuff pretty easily, easy at Toys R Us - I especially love their buy one get one half off sales! And from a tiny toy store at the mall, they sell all the new stuff. But anything old or discontinued is super hard. I usually get those things off of Amazon, sometimes Ebay, but anywhere I buy its always full price, you know? Iver been trying to collect the older fi?ures, and cant find them. Ive also been trying to look for a discontinued castle and THATS been hard as heck! lol

Been a while since I've added anything to this topic, I meant to add my new buys a couple of weeks back but, been busy doing some work for a course, anyway I managed to buy these figures
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1060332_zps4cbfe9a3.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1060332_zps4cbfe9a3.jpg.html)
I got two partially complete Gnomes plus this cute little medieval boy with the Lion crest on his chest don't think I've seen him in any sets before, I also got a little table with two chairs, cutlery, plates and mugs
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1060339_zpsa0a74e84.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1060339_zpsa0a74e84.jpg.html)
The little boy soon found a loving family I think the Prince's were quite excited at having a son/nephew to play with.
-
Awesome gnomes! Those hats are great, as is the entire Magic theme.
-
I really like that boy's shirt and cap. You don't happen to know which set he came from, do you?
-
I love the gnomes and king! Wonderfull buys
-
That kid was a promo for... something. Could it be the 30 years? I remember our TRU gave them out with purchases.
Not sure I took pics of the pack on the PROCESS - I think I came across him..

George. :)

Not sure where else it was available (probably the toy fair) but I got mine at TRU, I think with playmobil purchases over a certain amount.. but not so sure on this last part :-[

The person I got mine from told me it was a "Fun-Park" give away, but that's all I know.
It's a very likeble character, I'm very happy to have one.

Yes they're nice I'm loving the cap, I know technically all the faces look the same but, he's got a really sweet baby face as well

Ah that's very useful info and photos thanks what blind luck to come across a figure who is probably quite rare and it looks like I'm not missing all that much either from the set he's super cute anyway

Ditto he's certianly a welcome addition to my family and the Lion Princes seem to be quite fond of him as well ;)

Hey guys got some new troops at the Market on Monday, I think I'm building up a rapport with the Stall Holder as they said to me "Ah are you the guy who comes here to buy Playmobil?" and knocked £1 off of my figures :D
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1070235web_zpsa290b285.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1070235web_zpsa290b285.jpg.html)

I like the Gladiator, the shade of blue they've used just seems right and the brown sandals seem like a much better colur thatn the grey ones on my other Gladiator, not sure about the neckpiece though just doesn't seem like something a Gladiator'd wear. The 2 Knights are also good I've not seen the guy with the necklace before the other one has a sort of Lancelot feel to him if you know what I mean. I've changed the hair pieces on some of the figures and given the one with the armour a helmet, sword and sword and belt.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1070237web_zps1c3fb987.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1070237web_zps1c3fb987.jpg.html)
The Dragon Knights are pretty cool albeit lacking most of their accessories, I really like the shield and green helmet on the green knight although personally I'm not so keen on the pale shade of green I think a similar shade to the helmet would have looked better but, that's just my personal preference
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1070240web_zps6b90aa0c.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1070240web_zps6b90aa0c.jpg.html)

Great buys! :)

The knight with the necklace is from a special, normally he has a belt, a long blue cape, long blonde hair and a cone shaped helmet.

Oh right cool, I'll have to look him up later, I gave him a gold belt and replaced his hair with some grey hair and a beard since I figured he looked sort of like a Lord, I gave the other guy a black belt and a brown hair piece would have like to have given him some long yellow hair but, I don't have any spare.
-
Those are great buys

Very nice additions, well done!
George. :)

I like the dragon shield very much, and that necklace on the Special knight is new to me too. Looks cool :)
Is there a stall holder at the market who sells Playmobil regularly? That is pretty neat!

It's from set 4547 King's Son (http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/4547.htm). I even think the 4616 uses the same torso, but the necklace is covered there? (not sure)

No, the 4616's fleur de lys print is a little bit lower on the torso and there's no necklace. :)

Yes there is it's in the middle of town and what's sold varies day to day so I normally only head down if I've got an appointment and can get my bus fares refunded or I've got a reason to go into town. There used to be a good stall which sold Action Man figures as well (double temptation ;D ;)) and the Playmobil stall used to have a better selection, a good choice of figures in bags normally for between £1 - £3 say and lots of the same figures in little compartments for about 50p, there's still a good chocie but, not as good as before I normally end up going down with specific parts in mind to search for and inevitably leaving with stuff I don't need but,w which took my fancy ah well such is life ;D ;)

Interesting thanks Playmoto for the link and Erik for the info I thought he looked like nobility or at least a high ranking fella he looks much better kitted out and with a good choice of hair good to know I guessed right on the belt, the shield is a lovely design :knight:

Hey I got some more figures from Toysrus a few weeks ago and have had them waiiting for a good day to enjoy opening them, I also got a couple of new buys from the market
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1080555_zps542ff661.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1080555_zps542ff661.jpg.html)
The non Playmobil character is a mini Action Man couldn't resist for 20p looks like he's a Mcdonalds giveaway. Cyborg thing was the only Playmobil I saw this time around he was 50p he's interesting unusual that he's got claws for hands, and looking on PlaymoDB confirms my suspicions when I saw he had grooves on his feet thta he was one of the Robots with rollerskates:
http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/4604.html (http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/4604.htm)
First of my new buys from Toysrus is the Lifeguard I figured I could do with some more people in beachwear. I've got to say I've got mixed opinions of all of these sets first off the good though, I like the figure I think he looks good like the bare chested look and the ruffled hair piece looks good, the tan I could go either way with, the negatives personally I think for what you're getting he's not as good value as the other Mystery figures I at first I couldn't think of many additioanl accessories you could give him apart from one of those high chairs for keeping lookout but, actually there's a few little things you could give him just to make him better value: binoculars, 1 or 2 flags perhaps with different colours to show when it's safe to swim, a bouyancy ring perhaps with a bit of rope, lifejacket you know just one or two things to improve the value and platability of the figure. Also the other thing is his swimming aid looks nice but, he can only hold it with one hand sort of limits it's use really since I'd want him to swim with it in both hands under him.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1080558_zps77e6695b.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1080558_zps77e6695b.jpg.html)
Next the Genie again I like the cushion and the figure, very nice robes sort of makes me think it'd work in a Gypsy sort of theme as well, the Turban's also nice adds a bit more colour variety and the hair almost looks like an extension of the turban when you look at the photos.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1080562_zpsb9a16cf5.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1080562_zpsb9a16cf5.jpg.html)
Now for the Genie I've got to be honest here I like the sort billowy effect they've got with the Genie coming out of the bottle but, that's about it I think it's a pity the mould is only one sided and when you acutally see the Genie in the flesh then you can see how lacking it is in detail, I also think an Aladdins Genie lamp would have been a nice touch and rather fitting. Still I'm planning to try andmake my figures look vaguely like the characters in the Disney film so the guy they've included looks good for Jafar and I've seen that LEGO's done a nice blue Genie in one of their previous mystery figures so I'll porbably try and get hold of one.

Now for the Policemen I saw them last year while I was still looking for the Mystery Policeman of a similar design and decided to get that set later instead as it looked better value
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1080563_zpseeca3780.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1080563_zpseeca3780.jpg.html)
I like this set quite a bit nice that you've got small changes in the figures to give a slight variety of uniforms and plnety of different weapons, they're certainly well armed with the hand guns provided you don't lose them and the riot shield is good a nice nod to my childhood as it's virtually the same shield my Policeman had as a kid but, with some black paint on the front.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1080566_zps796bfe42.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1080566_zps796bfe42.jpg.html)
I also like the grey beret and in particular the dog's really nice  the lead and collar work nicely as well. I'm not keen on the black face mask the guy with the long sleeves is wearing though, don't get me wrong I understand that it's the sort of thing Riot Police might use but, it just doesn't look quite right on his face , later on I decided to swap it onto one of my other guy's who you'll see in a minute who is dressed in green and black still wouldn't say I'm particularly keen on it but, it looks better. Also the other thing I'm not too happy about is something other people have commented on in the past, on the box the two men with short sleeves are shown with rolled up sleeves in the flesh they've got ordinary tshirt sleeves >:( I can live with this they still look pretty good but, it's annoying because it's not what you're led to believe that you're getting and to me they do genuinely look better with rolled up sleeves.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1080565_zpsc927c2b8.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1080565_zpsc927c2b8.jpg.html)
Anyway grumbles aside here's some photos of the new guys with the rest of the team all be it without my childhood Policeman leading them :'(

Those are very nice additions :)

Got one of those too - found him once at the door of the building where I worked.. :)

:o I LOVE those masks  (not necessarily for police.. :P )
Also the other thing I'm not too happy about is something other people have commented on in the past, on the box the two men with short sleeves are shown with rolled up sleeves in the flesh they've got ordinary tshirt sleeves >:(
Send a photo to playmobil, telling them you got the wrong klickys. I've done that with the horses and they sent me the correct ones. They should be above such shortcuts. >:(

Thanks for the comments glad you like my additions, that's kinda weird that you found a little Action Man outside where you work poor fella being abandoned like that :( at least he's found a good home now I think he's kinda cute strangelly I don't normally like figures of that sort with little articulation but, he looks good with the little muscles on his arms and his hair cut accurately replicating the real thing. I'm sure the masks must have their uses but, I'm sorry I just don't like it with these figures I know you don't like the curly hair I do quite like it but, perhaps the combination of mask and hair plus the helmet on top doesn't work.
Thanks as well for the advice I was considering contacting Playmobil even if just to ask about the change but, I guess it's worth a try as I say i do think they look better with rolled up sleeves, I think I might take a photo of them in front of the box as extra visual evidence though ;)

Very nice additions, congrats!!!

Thanks glad you like them :) I passed the market stall with all the nice Playmobil on it on Monday and there was loads of tmepting stuff in fact too much choice for someone on the dole (sometimes too much can be as bad as too little :() a few nice colourful archers,a crusader and other nice medieval guys, a western soldier :cowboy: who I am hoping will still be there next time, a little boy with a sled (can always use more kids and sleds are useful), a wokrer with an sssortment of tools and a flask (I reminded myself that my men don't need flasks since they've got a Kelly Kettle but, a little flaks would still be a cool addition to my collection) etc. the list goes on, I know I've got 2 appointments on Monday in August when I can get my bus ticket refunded so I have decided that I'll go back in a few weeks see if anything's been sold to make my choices a bit easier.
By the way Playmobil have said they'll send me some new correct Policemen they just need the part numbers :yippee: thank you Playmobil one thing I can't fault is their customer service :wow: although now I'll have more men who need hats and guns nothing new their then half my police guys need pistols and are wearing spare 1990's helmets since there's nothing else

Bought a few more figures from the Market on Monday, I think they must recognise me as being a loyal customer as they knocked 75p of my figures ;D
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1080930_zps5ec0d875.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1080930_zps5ec0d875.jpg.html)
I like the little boys outfit originally I thought he had a sled but, it looks like a smaller version of the helicopter stretcher? The archers make quite a good pair although I prefer the guy with the moustache without his helmet, they guy with the yellow torso combined with the purple legs and green hat :o is a particularly shockingly bright combo which I really like, th Unicorn Knight should be another good addition to my growing Medieval population although I do wish the stall holder would stop supplying them with those swords they're alright for pirates and arabs but, I've only got a handful of pirates and even less arabs to give them to and meanwhile it leaves more of my knights without a sword >:(
I'm not entirely sure why I bought the Fireman seeing as I've already got a crew of 6 but, I saw him last week as I was taking a quick peak on my way somewhere else and I couldn't wait to go back for him, he's nice and adds a bit of variety to my Firemen not to mention an extra helmet, I also reckon he could be used as a builder or street cleaner in his high vis clothes. I understand what the scissors are for (cutting people out of cars I think) but, they still look rather big to me still he's found a good use for them ...

Thanks glad you like the new guys, I couldn't resist taking a photo of him using those big scissors ;D
Always nice to get some disount. Nice expansion of your playmofamily.
Thanks I'm certainly not one to argue with someone offering me a discount cetainly not on the money I get even with doing 1 or 2 gardening jobs and a bit of dole money to make up the difference it's only about £60 a week
Very nice purchases, great assortment! :)
Thank you glad you like them :)

Cool new stuff. Those Medieval figures are great. :)

Thanks I really like the archers particularly as I said the one with the yellow torso and green hat, I'm not so sure about the Knight there's bits I definately like such as the chain mail neck piece and the gold armour on the arms but, there's also bits I'm not so keen on like the fact that they chose not to extend the blue down the leg of the tunic :-\ would probably like him more if he had a proper medieval sword

Got some new Playmobil sets first off I got this set 3834
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1100353_zps5bb4458f.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1100353_zps5bb4458f.jpg.html)
It's a set I had when I was a kid which was part of the reason for buying it but, the main reason was to go with my other Arabian figures, since it's got that Aladin feel the maigc carpet and genie lamp goes quite well with the new genie set and mystery figure.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1100356_zpsb1ae3a64.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1100356_zpsb1ae3a64.jpg.html)
It's pretty much complete the only thing missing is the Arabian scroll (I put the other 2 handles in my box of bits and pieces since I've put the handles on the central bit you only really need one pair)
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1100358_zps87d98232.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1100358_zps87d98232.jpg.html)
I still really like this set the magic carpet looks good pity about about the handles although I'm not sure whether there's a better alternative. I like the figure better than I thought he works well with the bare feet I like his turban and grey hair and beard.

I also bought set 5248 a while back and I finally opened it last Tuesday I had fun opening all the bags and trying not to lose anything while we were on our way to site in the van, I didn't bring the box so I only noticed when I'd got abck and looked at the box art that the bucket is meant to go on the front of the cannon not the blue hook on the horses harness :-[ ah well easy mistake to make. I've taken loads of photos of them exploring the woods where we were working which I need to upload at some point I'll share the first few with you for the minute.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1100523_zps1712c046.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1100523_zps1712c046.jpg.html)
I really like this set I think it's got plenty of good accessories like the sleeping roll although it's abit fiddly trying to attach the roll and the gun to the back of the saddle. The horses are also beautiful complete with their Playmobil army brand ;) and great faces and manes.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1100525_zps546f818a.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1100525_zps546f818a.jpg.html)
I like the detail on all of the soldiers uniforms they look very smart with the cuffs and collars and the hats are all nice although I think it would have been nice if they'd given one or two of the guys a moustache, or stubble better yet some sideburns I do like the old clean shaven spiky haired faces but, it would just be nice to give them some variety
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1100532_zps668602f9.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1100532_zps668602f9.jpg.html)
Again the wagon's a pretty nice looking bit of kit and the gun's got an Eagles crest on it which looks quite good, obviously the missiles aren't particularly accurate if you're a collector but, great fun for kids and good that you can slot them into the back of the wagon for storage, I wasn't sure what sort of missiles would look more accurate but, looking at the old sets I noticed that they used yellow cartridges/shells which I think look more accurate.

Lovely outdoor shots!

I've long wondered if that Arabic scroll actually says something, the way the Latin scroll does.
-
Lovely outdoor shots!
Thanks glad you liked them will have to upload the rest at some point :)
I've long wondered if that Arabic scroll actually says something, the way the Latin scroll does.
Hm good point it would certainly be interesting to find out :)
-
Great shots and nice arabian clickies. :)
Really looks like the horses are pulling hard at that wagon through the rough terrain.

Thanks mate I see what you mean in the last photo their feet looka bit splayed out in the first shot but, in the last shot they look more like they're pulling it over the muddy ground

Ok so I never got round to uploading photos of the small Playmobil house I bought so may as well share those while I'm doing some other photos think it cost about £1.50
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1110647_zps5e9beed8.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1110647_zps5e9beed8.jpg.html)
It's not particularly big but, it's a start and the stone patterns, window frames and doors fairly nice, not sure what set it's from couldn't see it on the database? :eh?:
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1110648_zps0d840e9b.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1110648_zps0d840e9b.jpg.html)
Inside if you use all the walls you've got two reasonably sized rooms including some wall pieces with space to put several shelves
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1110650_zps2a377bec.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1110650_zps2a377bec.jpg.html)
These guys are keen to come and view the house considering the lack of buildings even a small house like this is bound to attract plenty of interest
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1110656_zpse4b4feeb.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1110656_zpse4b4feeb.jpg.html)

Room for expansion to create a new floor on top perhaps

Scott's not so keen, I let him have a look round the house but, I had to stack it sideways in the bag they gave me so he ended up sliding through the house and out the bottom window ouch :'(
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1110667_zpsd632ab08.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1110667_zpsd632ab08.jpg.html)

My other new purchase a 1980's/1990's retro bin lorry £6 from the market in town and looks virtually new, looking at the DS catalogue from a few years ago they were charging £20, absolute bargain and pure 90's nostalgia.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1120365_zpswwosu0ob.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1120365_zpswwosu0ob.jpg.html)
Overview beautiful bin lorry and bin crew

The crew are also in great condition, much as some of the new bodysculpts and clothes are great there's something that I love about the old grooved 80's/90's figures perhaps partly because they were my first figures ad the ones I have strongest memories of seeing in my first treasured Playmobil catalogue. Love the pastel blue uniforms and orange vests and caps, the guy in his yellow shirt and green dungarees also looks good and I really like his brown cap. Like the sign as well :D

Close up of the bins logo I really like the clover design and the detail they've put into all the little images presumably showing what Playmobil items the Klickies can recycle (surely anything seeing as it's virtually all plastic! ;))

Those are great additions (and awesome bargains :) )
-
The house itself is from the 4055 Mega Farm Set:
http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4055
It originally came with a barn storage area above it.
They are great walls and windows, and amongst my most-used building parts; I really like them.
-
Great additions!! The system x house is very nice but I like so much the garbage truck!! I don't collect modern themes but I want that truck too!!
George. :)

Great additions. The house looks to be very useful and I really like those old garbage trucks, I still need to get one for myself some time.

Thanks the truck certainly is when you consider the condition the turck's in and how much I'd have paid for it through the DS catalogue or indeed somewhere like Ebay it would probably cost a fair bob and the DS one only comes with 2 figures.

Uh :o I like very much looks like a really good set and with a big tractor (love tractor's) and harvester , loads of tools and everything  shouldn't have shown me that! At least it explains the red frame which it appears should a window in it and confirms my suspicions that the walls would look much improved with the addition of some greenery or window boxes as in the set to cover the holes up. Amazing how much they've managed to fit in and still make it look fairly spacious.

Thanks of all my purchases I think my Fire Engine has got to be one of my favourite and most treasured finds but, I think the truck, helicopter and the pirate ship once restored have got to come a close joint 2nd although it goes without saying some of the smaller vehicles such as the motorbikes are really great as well and taring nothing away from all the great klickies I've bought.
Anyway going off point,I've got my modern recycling truck as well which I bought create the first two members of the BTCV Mini Carbon Army way back when I love them both the modern one's very realistic but, there's something about the 80's/90's vehicles they look realistic but, with that old retro distinctly I'm Playmobil and proud of it sort of element to them  Of course the fact that it's in such beautifully nearly new condition that adds tot the appeal
Great additions. The house looks to be very useful and I really like those old garbage trucks, I still need to get one for myself some time.
Thanks the house is a start, ideally would be great to get some parts at some points to add to the living space and add some greenery outside, first though if it's going to make any klicky a home then it'll need more furniture and appliances e.g. for a kitchen. The garbage truck as I've said above is great a real favourite and great addition to any collection, oh and it doesn't seem to take up much space ;) :D with a bit of refiddling I might even be able to make some space to display it on my shelves next to my Fire Engine which would be very appropriate considering they're both from the same or at least a very similar era

Ok it's been quite a while since I've actually got round to uploading photos and I have bought a few things since I last uploaded photos.
So one of the things I bought a while ago was this taxi
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020012_zpswpbpjhgs.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1020012_zpswpbpjhgs.jpg.html)
Certainly not my favourite vehicle when compared with my 1980's/1990's Fire Engine, Helicopter, Garbage Truck but, hey it's a perfectly nice small vehicle, for £4 it's a nice little addition particularly if I ever get to the stage where I can make a city set up
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020023_zpseohvdcsw.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1020023_zpseohvdcsw.jpg.html)

At the same time I also bought some bugs ...
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020006_zpspm2yapsu.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1020006_zpspm2yapsu.jpg.html)
-
and I bought this Fireman and the guy in the tshirt with the BBQ. I wasn't to bothered about the Fireman but, I figured for the price his accessories and gear would be useful for my existing crew. I bought the BBQ mainly for the BBQ itself and the food to cook on it should be able to take some good photos next time we have a BBQ or go camping but, I also quite like the guy manning it looks like he's exchanging cooking tips with my old Chef ;)
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1020027_zpsjygfklvl.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1020027_zpsjygfklvl.jpg.html)
I also picked up some bits from a charity shop a while back decided as I sometimes do to have a rummage in a box full of assorted pieces lots of horses and stuff like that and found a couple of Playmobil bits so I kept on digging around until I could be reasonably sure I'd picked out all the Playmobil worth saving and showed it to the person on the till let me have it for about 50p. Ok so there's not much of any great value in there lots of bits which need to be paired up but, some interesting bits like the Snowman, Polar gloves, flask, hats, sextant oh and none Playmobil book and raspberry juice ;D. Annoyingly I found an Angels halo/head band which must have got dropped or slipped out of my bag which was annoying since my Angels halo had got snapped before this point
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1010238_zpshtnkceyk.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1010238_zpshtnkceyk.jpg.html)
Some of the stuff being modelled/tested:

Before that I got some more Pirates:
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1140314_zpsljdhousv.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1140314_zpsljdhousv.jpg.html)
Not that I need more Pirates but, I think that one of them possibly the Captain came with the chimp and one of them came with the parrot, the cannon and ammunition are useful particularly when I've got a ship in working order and it fires quite well and looks more realistic than the modern ones and treasure is always appreciated.
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1140318_zps4yrfmmvb.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1140318_zps4yrfmmvb.jpg.html)
Been a long time since I've had a Playmobil chimp but, you've got to love those cheeky little Monkeys ;D
-
Some comparisons cannons actually not all that dissimilar looking but, the old one does look better for not having a child friendly unrealistic rubber missile in it
(http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g462/DoctorDalek6/P1140323_zpsfuxudypt.jpg) (http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/DoctorDalek6/media/P1140323_zpsfuxudypt.jpg.html)
I'm not sure if there's enough room for two Pirate Captain's :captain: :arrr:

Then again if you've both got good ale and treasure maps why not just be friends I mean after all the new Captain's rather outnumbered

The parrot on the other hand is certainly popular and much as I'm fond of the old two colour parrots they've certainly improved the parrots appearance in recent times great colours and much better facial detail
-
Great additions :)
The book and the bottle aren't playmobil (and the lego lance) but they're gorgeous!

Thanks I resisted a lot of the non Playmobil bits in the box but,I figured those bits were about the right scale and I liked them particularly the raspberry juice :) although they're to thick for a klicky to hold so they'll just have to pretend and you never know when another LEGO lance might be useful or could sell it not that it would make much on its own. The enormous Playmobil saddle's weird though
-
Thanks for all the fun pics ;D I love that taxi!
