heya, i just tried to create 3 different versions on TinTin but somehow i dont like it. i had to use yellow for hairs as i run out on orange..
what u fellow playmofriends are thinking? iam on the right way?
-
I think the second one looks best.
But somehow he looks too cartoon-ish compaired to the captain.

very gud point, never was looking at this aspect..

I agree. I think maybe you should use a playmo-hair and work on it to make it look similar to the real Tin Tin.

i like this one:

It's certainly an interesting idea for a custom, I think Captain Haddock is great :), Tin Tin looks cool but, to me the resembalance is only very slight, I like the custom in that photo as well as the hair they've got the jumper full length and the well known trousers with low shoes and high socks which make it clear who he is don't forget to include Snowy ;)

Thats a great idea. Cut the sideburns and you're almost there :)9 :)9

I think the 2nd one is best too. But I also agree the hair looks somewhat too cartoonish.
(For my Tintin, I decided to cut off the sharp edges from a standard zigzag-wig, and to give him a safari-hat like he wears in the album "Tintin in Africa". (old title "Tintin in Congo")...
I've been experimenting with a non-hat Tintin-head, but none is to my satisfaction yet.)
I'd also keep the lightblue torso like you used in the 2nd pic, but I'd give him long sleeves. Also, you could exchange the trousers for darkbeige or brown ones with white socks, like he is usually depicted with in the books. For that you could use the trousers of the English officer from set 5140 or the new DS-Redcoat officer.

Oh yes he's beginning to look much more like Tin Tin, I like the shorts but, I do think the trousers with socks and low shoes would be much more accurate for Tin Tin.

I've got that book it also had Tin Tin in Russia, very good reads ah back in those days some of the scenes witht the animals in particular are quite good, love the peed off face of the Elephant on the ground when Tin Tin's in the tree ;D, for sure you wouldn't get away with the depictions of the natives nowadays
