(  :wave:here's hoping Geobra is watching ;D)
these tomb figures were actually painted in realistic colours which faded over the centuries
....I cant bring myself to spray all these PM parts grey....and also because their armour is just printed (I'm not as skilful as Malone, to scuplt them :P), so any spraying will cover these PM printed body armour.
any opinions?

Wonderful idea! I have so many of those torsos! I will make at least one like this for myself.

@ Cheng, do't you think it would be great to have some more variations in their faces, besides the moustache, beards (mongol one) etc.

I see you're using the grey inner pieces! I plan on doing that too if I ever manage to successfully take apart some figures!
If I were you though, I wouldn't spray them either. Just pretend as if they were freshly painted and not faded yet. Then you can use them as living figures in your world also, instead of giant statues. If you really wanted to do that though, you could maybe get those clear base pieces for them and paint those. Then they would look more like statues than living people, especially if you put them in poses and never moved them.
Are you making a tomb?

@conniefrere, I will and I do try to have variation of chinese faces...even the terracotta statues had individualised faces ;)

I think I'll rather make soldiers from the period these terracotta statues were made...I prefer to pose them fighting with horse/chariots etc...so no tomb :P
and thanks everyone!

I didn't know they were originally painted, Cheng. I guess it's rather like Western ancient statues.

me too Justindo,
as for the colours pigments, I think a bit of guess work was involved
