If you ever decide to do Filipino custom clickies, you could use the bamboo in Filipino national dance called "Tinikling" where the bamboo are clicked together in a waltz beat as nimble dancers utilize precise timing to step in-between the clicks while dancing without getting their ankles caught (sort of like a gauntlett):

The more daring versions of this dance utilize long sharp blades instead of bamboo.

I've seen that kind of dancing before, and it looks like so much fun!!! Really cool. I bet it would hurt to get your ankle caught, though!

That's interesting, because all our bamboos in this country grow either brown or black

I guess they are special cultivars grown for the climate in this country

Damo :)

If you can get more bamboo, then you can make a construction scene with bamboo scaffolding.

right BB! for Pandas, was my 1st reaction too....I would cut them down to random lengths...they can 'eat' these fresh bamboo for their favourite food

and WOT, you seem to be the expert with bamboos...and those lengths are certainly good for making a Filipino custom

and Gordon...I did customise some HK marine police and a sedan chair so I did think of bamboo scaffolds as a backdrop...you must have seem a lot of such constructions going on even today in HK and Macau (anybody knows if this is also a common practice/usage in China?)

BP...thanks for helping out!

Flatcat...maybe its green in Germany too ;)

Luis, (you probably found out by now) the part number is 30243482

and thanks everyone for your comments...I'll move on to making those customs I have in mind (but I dont do buildings...not yet :P

They can be as big as trees, but they are technically a type of grass, just like wheat and corn and other grains. Grass comes in all sizes.
