Greetings everyone! This photo story is about Playmobil City Fire Department District 2 Station 2 known as Station 22. As described in Station 21’s review, this station protects the far eastern side of Playmobil City where the Playmobil Rail Road cargo depot is located & that area is highly industrialized making it the busiest station in District 2. The surprise within this station is the assigned Playmofriend avatars that are assigned to it as you will see during the picture review! This station has 3 engines, E221, E222, E223, Tower Ladder TL224, SUV 2281 & Specialty Trailer ST22A, Heavy Rescue HR227, Arson Response SUV 2282, Arson Response car 229, 2 auto transport trailers, Playmobil City Emergency Medical Service units, MCM22, & MICU Medic 22. Station 22 is the busiest emergency call wise due to HR227 being needed for rescue missions throughout the northern PCFD District 2 call area. HR247 covers the southern part of District 2, but both units can be activated at the same time if the situation deems it necessary.

   Love Tim's avatar as a firefighter!!! Love all the avatar introductions, nice to see me and Chris as medics, working together. My avie is happy to have an extra job to do when she's not volunteering at the zoo!
-
great to see my application was accepted but wow station 22 is busy.
-
Ouch. ;D
The extra height does come in handy at times, but I don't do well with ladders. ;)
:wow: :wow: :wow:

That brings back memories! I was required to talk a fellow firefighter down from a 100 foot ladder when he froze due to heights at a training excerise! It took me a while to get him down :omg:.
-
Good thing it was a training exercise and not a real life-and-death situation.
-
Another excellent station compliment!!! Love the surprise of the avatars personell!!! Very smart and entertaining!!!
-
Nice to see other avatars volunteering here. :)
Two of your firemen are still sitting in the firetruck, are they a bit camera shy?

Thank you all for your appreciated support!
I have a confession Rhalius. The reason some of the OIC, & driver/operators are shown in their vehicles, is because when the stations are being displayed on the shelves, there isn't room for them to stand in the front of the vehicle :-[.
-
I want to be rescued by the allosaurus! :)

 I find no difficulty in believing that.

   that was very funny! I love funny avatars in different outfits ;D
-
 Very impressive, as always, BB!
-
can always put the drivers on top of the roof, but it would be rather embarassing if your firemen get burned when sunbathing. ;)

Thank you for the kind comments!
I remember one time at a rescue team competition when it was 100 degrees outside. We were required to be in full turn out gear while waiting for our turn to compete. After waiting an hour, my fire boots were filled at the bottom with sweat. When it was my teams turn, I climbed up into the tree that we were to perform our procedure, got to the dummy, rescued it, but passed out with heat exhaustion. I then became a patient in real life. It scared the judges so badly that the next day teams were allowed to wait their turn without turnout gear on, & dress into it when their turn came.
-
Well, it sounds like you made an impression on the judges. :P Maybe not quite the way you had hoped, but....
At least you didn't pass out while you were up in the tree. :o
-
At least you didn't pass out while you were up in the tree. :o
But I did. My team was required to extricate me from 25 feet up in the tree, so we were judged for an actual rescue, but disqualified. They got me down, put me in a stokes basket, then some bystanders ripped open my turnout gear & jump suit, & poured ice water out of a big cooler on me :omg:. My temp was so high that I wasn't even sweating anymore, & breathing had become labored. My girlfriend told me all of this, because I didn't remember what happened.
-
:o :o :o You were lucky to live through that. Apart from losing consciousness 25 feet off the ground, heat exhaustion is serious stuff. I have suffered from it once, though I never actually lost consciousness. What I remember was that I got to a point where I suddenly started to feel very cold and chilled even though I was standing in the sun and it was well over 100 degrees. That was when I knew I was in trouble.
Btw, couldn't throwing ice on you when your temperature was that high have stopped your heart?
-
Most of the time it would, but luckily instead it only put me into shock, & unconsiousness again. The paramedics that were there, freaked out when they saw what had happened. I puked alot during that time too. It wasn't a good day. :-\
-
Yeah, I didn't think that was the thing to do when someone was in that situation. ::) You have to bring the temperature down slowly. Well, slower than that anyway. They meant well, though.
-
Dino is sooooo coool and what an idea !!!! still speechless !!!
-
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm glad you all like this photo story! ;D

Love this Bill
In the photo of Tim's avatar ready to respond, he looks so smug to be wearing a firefighters helmet; it really made me laugh
