Just spotted this badboy on PlaymoDB:
5207 - Transport-Megaset (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=5207)
Is it the livery of a real company?
I'm pressuming it's an exlusive to some German store ::)
It also appears just to be a complete repaint of this set:
5011 - ADAC Mega-Set (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=5011)
Damo <*)

It was in our TRU some time ago: thread about it (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=9590.0)

Thats a really nice set :lens:
-
I want that set and in the white color. I could do with out the company endorsement but the tow-truck, plane and support vehicle in white is so plain and realistic
-
I am a little concerned about the safety of the plane...
After all a man is coming lut of it in a full body cast! :o

Wait a minute, now that you mention it ? ? ?
What the hell happened in that collision between a plane and car ? Why is the car being towed away from a runway. The guy on the gurney who is being assisted by the woman, why is her partner getting a battery out of the wagon, does he need a jump start ? ? someone please explain

lol that's true - i have no idea what the story behind the picture is :hmm:
seriously, is it part of the airport, rescue, rc vehicles or what theme? ???
and what's the average price for these mega sets?

Maybe.... the guy on the gurney was trying to jump off the rescue vehicle, and he got the wires crossed, frying his own car and himself, but it was quite convenient because, well, the rescuers were right there. And of course now his car had to be towed. And all this took place on an airplane runway, because that's where the rescuers were when their battery died because someone on the plane had chest pains, and they forgot they had a spare battery in the trunk.
:P

Well, I can only tell the story behind the 5011 set.
The ADAC is the German Automobile Club (like the AAA in the US). Many Germans are members as soon as they've got their driver's licence because getting help from their tow-away trucks or their vans (when you have a flat tire on the highway - that's why they're called the "yellow angels" - no kidding) will not cost you 1 penny when you're a member.
And now about the plane: For many years now there has been the option to upgrade your membership. When you have an accident abroad (and remember, when driving round Europe you're abroad very quickly) and you can't drive back, you'll be taken back on a plane to Germany to be treated or maybe operated here and not in a country where you don't speak the language (or where you don' trust the doctors :P).
I don't know if the ADAC really OWNS such planes, but for children it's easier to understand that it's the ADAC that helps you instead of showing a plane or heli from another airline (which is probably what happens in real life).
So: the 5011 set basically shows all ways and means in which the ADAC will help its members.
That's why I think (especially with the AC in the logo - for Automobile Club?) that the mentioned set with the white vehicles is just the international version of the same story.
But that attempt at intepretation shouldn't keep anyone from making up more interesting stories ;D about these sets.

No, not all: I forgot about the yellow helicopters .
But they've been around in Playmo for many generations with the 5017 being the latest edition.

I think the ADAC stuff is good advertising. It's nice sometimes for Playmobil to do real-life liscencing like DHL or THW (A German disaster relief organization.) :). Also, nice find on the megaset, Damo ;)!
