Does anyone else have this problem - not receiving emails notifying of replies to topics, in fact, not getting emails of any sort (I even emailed myself and it never reached me!). When it first started, I changed my email address to another one on PF and emails started arriving again. But then those stopped and changing it back hasn't made any difference. Very occasionally, an email suddenly arrives.

I know this, too.
Some people could send me emails, some not.
And now, it seems, as if the email icon doesn´t work any longer, I never get the sent emails. :(
Not a SPAM problem, I checked this.
The emails simply never arrived.
Weird...

This is quite strange as I have sent a few emails recently to which I have not received any reply yet ???

It's a known problem. At least two of us mods, including myself, aren't getting them either. We are supposed to get emails when someone reports a topic and stuff like that, and haven't been getting them for some time. It's a mystery we haven't been able to figure out, though. :-\

Could be some changes in the server configuration.
I sent a couple of mails with no reply... I wonder if the recipients got them...
Are the sent mails kept somewhere, like the pms?

Did he forget his password? Not getting emails could cause a problem with retrieving the password, I would think. Sylvia may be able to help with that.

I don't know why I first stopped getting emails, but when I changed my email address to try and solve the problem, that's when the problems really started as I ddin't get the email to my new address to allow me to reactivate my account. I contacted Sylvia and she reactivated my account for me.

I got your "thank you" PM, Erik. PMs are internal to Playmofriends and I've had no problems with them. It's emails from Playmofriends to my home email address that have been the problem.
I posted the package off to you yesterday, btw.

We've had some topics reported lately, did you get the emails? This has been a problem for me for over a year.

I've submitted a support ticket about the email problem at the webhosts.
Hopefully they can work it out. :crossed:

Is it a problem serverside at the webhost, or is it the forumsoftware that isn't handling the request correctly?

It looks as those this is still (again?) a problem. I recently discovered that an email I sent to a member via Playmofriends some weeks ago never arrived and a couple of test emails today also did not arrive (including one that I tried to email to myself from Playmofriends.) Also, I noticed that it is not possible to see other people's email addresses though I think that was possible in the past - it would seem that if people are willing to receive emails (as may be designated through one's profile page) they wouldn't mind having other folks see their email address? ???

I'm away from home for a couple of weeks, but I'll contact the support team at our webhosts when I return and see if we can get this email problem sorted out.
I never changed any settings so they perhaps have configured something incorrectly when they last moved the site to a new server.

This is an odd problem because email seems to work for some folks but not for others, as discussed in this newer thread: Problem with sending emails from Playmofriends (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=14429.msg264385#msg264385). In any event, it's not a huge problem as there are other ways to get in touch with people, so no rush. :xmascheer:
