7280 - Construction Site Signs - review
« on: October 24, 2009, 13:56:03 »
Well here's my first review of a set.

I ordered this set extra with something else because a) i like it b)it has a link to my RL job.
When it came it was packed in a scruffy looking plastic bag.

Inside were several smaller bags and some items were loose. Strangely, not all the parts were clean. There were some remains of the molding process, which i removed quit easely though.

The complete inventory:

Also strange is the ammount of lights that are supplied, there are 7, but the gates have 8 positions to mount them on.

There are no instructions, but most assembling is very straight forward. This said, i do believe instructions should have been added as children might not understand how to assemble some parts. The little triangle roadsign holder and assembling the beacons are just an example.

Also did i find the quality of this set is below playmobil standard. It is made in Malta, but that should not matter.
The roadsign for end-overtaking-not-allowed (no idea how it's called in english) is very badly visible/printed. Also the blue pass-this-side sign is not very high quality. Together with some of the parts still having molding rests on them, it shows as being rushed.

Still it is a very nice and complete set to have. Especially for the construction and diorama, aswell as the city people.
It allready produced some happy smiles and playtime with my son :-)
(though he is not allowed to play with it, without my presence due to the small parts)

:hmm: found my pics  :P  Any comments on my first ever review?!

Thanks, Martin !!!

This is an absolutely perfect review ...  :wow:

I hadn't even thought about buying this "Add-On" until I looked at your very thorough review. This is a really nice addition, and a definite "must have", for anyone setting up a Playmobil highway construction project.

Thanks again and all the best,
Richard
