Bike & Stuff
« on: January 12, 2017, 22:27:46 »
I bought a bag of used Playmobil a few months ago, & there are several things I assume are not Playmobil, though I did get some good classic clickies out of the deal. At first I thought this bike was not Playmobil, as the plastic is really cheap, especially the "chrome," which is pretty low quality. However, I did see that "geobra" is on one side, & "1976" on the other. Can anyone tell me about this? Also here is a pic with some of the pieces I think are NOT Playmobil, but would like confirmation. There is a close-up sideview of the hats.  :thanks:

Purple hat is not
Spur is not (probably Jane or johnny west)
Hammers and saw might also be johnny west
Little musket is Lego
Don't know about yellow bag thing in top right but not playmo

Everything else is playmobil
Someday, I will organize my stuff, I promise.

The thing at the bottom right that looks like a Scold's Bridle is not PM. Above it is a medical chart from an early hospital set, e.g. 3238x or 3404.
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Wonder if PM will ever come out with one of these.

Thank you, everyone. Those are amazing answers & amazing knowledge y'inz came up with so quickly. That was pretty astounding! :wow: Leefert especially wins the "What is This?" prize.  :hatoff:

I was also extremely happy to see that a lot of what I thought wasn't Playmobil actually was, & glad I didn't throw away the things I doubted were. In the lot was also an Indian canoe which I was sure wasn't PM but I eventually found a "geobra" on it.

This is the last of the unidentified stuff from my original purchase from the retro toy store. I've been really wrong so far, but I think maybe possibly most of this may be PM?  Would anyone like a go at proving me right or wrong?  ;D

can you give us a better picture of that yellow helmet on the right?  Everything else is definitely Playmobil, but I'm not sure that yellow helmet is.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)
