An hour ahead?
« on: March 18, 2011, 13:41:27 »
I've only just noticed that it says my local time is 1 hour ahead than it actually is ???

I know some other forums are set 1 hour ahead (goodness knows why) but I always thought that PF was on the correct time

You can set your own time, but it's a little complicated. it's the time offset in the look and layout preferences.

Some personal settings may have gone awry when the forum was offline.

Bonnie's right. For anyone else who needs to fix theirs, you go to the Look and Layout Preferences page in your Profile section. Click the small text link near Time Offset which says (auto detect) and it should automatically find your correct time.

It sets the time that you personally see to the same as your local time. for me, though, the auto detect doesn't work. It makes the time way far off.

Don't forget the summer savings time.
We do have it here too, right? I can't remember.
Cheers!

Scratch that, the forum doesn't have it.
Cheers!

I only noticed it the other day too, but as the clocks are changing here next weekend (26th/27th) I'll just ignore it for another week.
