As usual, seen on THAT site :( (link on THAT site (https://www.facebook.com/sergio.mollagarcia/posts/1155906371211989))
Not sure of the name of the painting (not my thing :-[ )..
And the mandatory question... will someone handle a group purchase? The klickys are gorgeous!
-
oh come on playmobil put the "art series" in the regular catalog already these are the best things you've ever done
-
Beautiful!
-
Checked the Rijksmuseum-site; but it isn't available (yet).
Does anyone know the release date?

I THINK on klickywelt someone says March..
-
In that case ... I think I will bring a visit to the Rijksmuseum early April :)
-
Wow, these are lovely.....might have to go to Amsterdam again!
-

Easy and cheap would be to wait for the set to be available at www.playmobil.nl, just like the other Rijksmuseum exclusives. I can have them delivered to a dutch mailing address and then ship them (quite cheaply ;) - different from NL) from Germany. It might all take a while, but I'm happy to take this on me.
Best wishes

Not sure of the name of the painting.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pendant_portraits_of_Maerten_Soolmans_and_Oopjen_Coppit
It is actually two paintings, portraits of a couple. They were recently purchased jointly by the Rijksmuseum and the Louvre.
Not sure how much I like them, though. Too black and protestant for my taste.
Best wishes

I like the PM versions. In the original, why is Mr. Soolmans wearing a shuttlecock on each knee and a cake doily on each foot?
-
Great set, looking forward to ordering it in the webstore.
I really hope the Rijksmuseum will keep doing these since every time it gives more amazing medieval clickies.
These two look like more the middleclass, not quite nobility. We need more clickies like that.
-
I haven't been excited for a set in YEARS but I'm in love with this!

It's some kind of game.
If you look at the original of the lady she's got a ping pong paddle.
See the chain on the paddle? She can obviously only swing it using her elbows - no upper arm movement at all. She must be very quick or she wont be able to return the ball and hit the targets on the man's feet.

Dutch marital arts.

 :lmao:
As for the set - A THOUSAND TIMES YES! I will be in for many of these.

I can't grasp why the company seems so obtuse on this matter. It should be obvious by now that this is a massive opportunity. Just the other day someone (non-PM related) linked me this toy: a James Joyce finger puppet:
https://www.amazon.com/James-Finger-Puppet-Refrigerator-Magnet/dp/2855410134/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1509988274&sr=8-2&keywords=writer+plush&linkCode=sl1&tag=terriblemin0b-20&linkId=217199894bc66f4d3ffcd73f79df54ad
He's part of a series of finger puppets of famous writers, artists and characters. And there are many such "cultural" toy lines now. With the backing of a namebrand company, such a line could become the hit of the season and give PM those sweet crossover sales they've been after with things like Ghostbusters. And if they can try an idea as wacky as Asian Dragons, they can try this. Not even L*go does cultural figures like this (their architectural sets are a parallel and guess what they are popular)
COME ON PM GET IN GEAR

Thank you :wow:
Well, that will sort it, if not before.. How long does it take for the sets to appear on the pm store, do you know? I have several interested people around here as well..

If it's like the past ones they should be available to order from the museum website directly. I know I got the Vermeer set that way for an ok shipping price. Works best for multiples of course cost wise. Unlike many of the exclusives the museum seems to want to make money on theirs.

Yeah, depends on shipping...

Amazing! I have to order this one! I hope Rijks Museum will come with more paintings in Playmobil!

No. I will keep an eye open for it and report back here if it becomes available. Then I shall establish whether there is any interest in acquiring a set through me. I will definitely wait for this option (they have already grown on me: I like Mr. Soolmans's printed cape, but do hope Geobra got white printing under control this time: normally white doesn't look great...), but don't wait for me if you are keen to get the set pronto.
Best wishes

Thanks for the info! 8-)
I think they don´t match the "Nightwatch"-klickies in beauty, but these are good too.
The man´s hat is somewhat "off" again, I would have chosen this one:
http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-04-7090
or this very recent one (only in 1 set sofar), but then in black:
http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-62-4265
medieval clickies.
Not Medieval, but Renaissance

The other thing is that the Princess Leia hairstyle the female has appears to be in tan colour. I've only seen it in blonde before.

I was wondering about that, but I wasn't sure if it was just the lighting. I would prefer tan for variety (and I think it would be closer to the original).

The Netherlands in the early 17th century were indeed much ahead in the world.
The guy seems to be wearing the first "vertical-lift-shoes" in history.

I was informed the original source for THAT site's post was this one:
amclicks: Nueva referencia exclusiva del Rijksmuseum 9483 (link) (http://amclicks.org/foro/novedades-playmobil/nueva-referencia-exclusiva-del-rijksmuseum-9483)
Can a mod please add the link on my original post? (and feel free to delete this one)

lol @ Hadoque

I just realized: this is the third figure the Rijksmuseum has done. This means they are probably going to keep doing them for a while. THIS IS GREAT :woohoo:
-

Hereby confirmation the female hairpiece is indeed tan ;)

Not yet, I´m still waiting mine as well
I got permission to use these pics in advance of their arrival ;)

Wait, how did you get those? I checked the museum site just yesterday and they weren't there. ???

The Dark Web(ay) and some aquiantances / friends I made there over the years ;)

That is one versatile supplier you've got there, Hadoque. Too bad she sharpened her rules for combined shipping discounts recently.

Ah yes, you´re quite right about my source for these figures :)9 But it is a HE, no?! ??? At least I assume it is not his wife with whom I´m usually writing/talking online... 8} His firstname is not "Alpha, Charlie or Bravo" but is further down the military alphabet ;) (I´m not sure he wants his name mentioned here).
I don´t know how he deals with you, but he doesn´t charge me differently for combined shipping then in the past. Postal prices for an insured package from his country to Belgium did increase a little over the past year though. I "buy-collect" over an extended time and my stuff (ebay / private) gets shipped usually once every month.

Ok, seems a plain black skirt (newer kind) and white heels (bah - lame).
Guess we need to wait to be sure.
-
I will wait until it's available on the Rijks Museum webshop, will be cheaper, even with the shipping costs (+ the original box).
-
Is the price on the museum known?
-
Is the price on the museum known?
I guess it will be the same price as the Night Watch, which also includes 2 figures.
-
They're in stock now (thanx Klickteryx!) and they are €5.95 per box.
I loaded up two and started to check out - shipping for two boxes to USA is €26.30 :(o): :0
-
The collar of the woman is NOT white but cream color!
The skirt has no print - shoes are also cream color.
-
They look great!

You just living on the wrong side of the pond.....

Beautiful figures.
-
You just living on the wrong side of the pond.....
Me too, I think the Rijksmuseum should have a new map tag, something suitably historic: "Here be pirates".
-
Ordered them too. Can't wait to have them.
Until now I've been able to get all the Rijksmuseum Playmobil sets :-[.
