Great review. I love the figures in this set. I picked up the unicorns already from parts. It's nice to see the oldest unicorn colors in the newest body styles.
I wonder how the white woman would look with the blue translucent cape from the ice mermaid out of the recent figures? Very Elsa from Frozen I would guess.
Please stop asking about the pink trees! I know you are joking, but they may hear you!! :o

I don't much recall the movie (hated it - except for the cute reindeer).. I wish that gorgeous sculpt existed without the ugly hole..

Well.. I would much prefer to have the darn pink trees than the stupid pink musical instruments and that dreadful playing heart bush.. and the throne, and the ruined TRANSPARENT pink staff, and.. and ... and.. at least we could justify it! :P

I never thought of these animals as "painted".. always figured they are magical beings.. with.. well... magical "original" coloring..

I believe they are what we call "female arms" - you know, there is a left and right, but not bent as in crippled..

That is what I meant, simply not straight. We need a glossary!
Is the arm distribution strictly along gender lines? I never realised...

For those with tradition skeletons, I believe it is. For the others, I think both male and female arms can be bent.
And, tahra, we need some pictures of the pink staff with other orbs! :D

Those stupidly slightly curved arms appeared with the women in the 1900 series, I believe. I don't think males have them, normally (except that roman mess up when they first appeared).
It adds nothing, and we lose sooo much.
Anyways, we still call them "female arms"...

Although I'm weirded out by the animals in all sorts of impossible colours, these new fairy sets draw me in.

Pink hair for the girl fairy! I like that!
I don't think of those type of female adult fairies as wearing socks or stockings - like the unusually coloured animals, I assume that these fairies have had the colour of their bare legs magically changed into different colours. Though this green and pink version is my least favourite one, and this particular fairy does look as if she is wearing her underclothes (a camisole) on the top half of her body. The others are great, however; I think that the boy works OK as a fairy. He could have got his shirt and belt from a neighbouring elf or dwarf, perhaps.
