Removing (newer) horse's tail
« on: August 02, 2011, 07:49:08 »
Has anyone managed to remove a (newer) horse's tail before? (and still be able to fit it back snugly) Its very tight and if I can know the clip is on which end(upper or lower) of the 'pin' of the tail, I might dislodge it with less damage  ;)

Is it actually a separate piece? A lot of animals any more are done in multiple shot molds. It's possible the horse body is molded around the tail part while still in the machine.
I've never actually tried it so I don't know for certain. The manes and eyes are definitely done that way so I've been assuming the tail is as well.

thanks for your opinion Tiermann!
I can barely see (not my imagination  :P ) its inserted but not really fused in...there is clearly defined oblong hole into which the tail seems to be fitted and still not fused by heat and you can see the pin on the underside  :)

hopefully someone has a broken (newer)horse and dont mind jerk its tail off (or sawing its rump/hump/hip? :P)
