Exquisite!   You've outdone yourself once again, Elaine.

I'll need another look to absorb all the details, but for now what especially stands out to me is the Playmobil festival with actual dioramas, the charity shop, and of course the fact that it more or less resembles your town square  ;D

Did you paint all the street/lawn/ground patches yourself? I definitely feel like attempting that too for my next dio, as it looks smashing.

Thanks a lot for all the detailed pictures, it was so much fun going through them!

Oh my goodness, this is delightful! So many great things!

Concurring that the mini-Playmo show is brilliant!

Loved the fitness room! The pipe band and the drummers are wonderful!

I missed out on the white statue (was that a PCC thing? Argh, I want one! :hmm:) It looks great in the town square.

All the stores are fab, really a beautiful diorama! Great job!

So many beautifull stores, its a great diorama! I'll have to take a closer look when I have more time.

My only comment is that the clothing store needs at least one bored male clicky accompanying his wife or girlfriend, maybe walking slightly hunched over.

Such a lovely town to visit with great possibilities to  shop. So nice all these little stories within the diorama. Really, really enjoyed my virtual visit to Playmo-Dumfries.

Thank you everyone for all your lovely comments  :)

Did you paint all the street/lawn/ground patches yourself?

Yes Birdie, the boards that we use for the displays are always given a base coat then details added.  I must admit that I had to google images of road junctions!  Masking tape and/or a ruler came in very useful for the straight lines!

I missed out on the white statue (was that a PCC thing?

Yes, it was the gift given to PCC members at the end of their first year.  It has a white helmet too, but I thought the crown more appropriate for Robert the Bruce.

I was really pleased with the mini Playmobil festival... the idea came to me one morning and I couldn't wait to put it together.   (I had to search for extra micro sets and was surprised at how expensive some of them are now).  The miniature display was a lot quicker to set up than the larger version!!

I'm almost done sorting out the photos for one of the other displays so I'll post them tomorrow all being well.

What about the mini PM boxes? Are those a thing or did you custom make them?

Mini Playmobil boxes have been in a few different sets, like the toy shop from the current shopping mall theme. There have also been some customs done up from time to time.
