Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share some pictures with you from a cold Ohio morning.
At 0920 hours Playmobil communications recieved an emergency call for a dog possibly trapped in a pond at a local park.
Responding units - Engine and Medic 5, Rescue 3, District 1 (command) and Support 6.
Due to the snow, units had to stage on the main roads and hike to the pond. Engine 5's crew arrived at the pond and found a dog that had fallen through the ice.
-
Unable to rescue the dog from the shore, 2 members of Rescue 3 got into their ice rescue suits and went out on the ice.
The dog was pulled from the pond and was taken to a local vet for further treatment.
-
Thanks for taking the time to view these pictures. I would have more but it was a warm 5 degrees out.

Amazing pics
How's the pup? What did the vet say?
-
Great pictures, I love real snow shots!
-
That looks great and so realistic! A great use of the ice!
-
A great use of the weather you got, Fire Chief, well told and well photographed.
-
Very nice story and pics.
Pic 1: snow on the truck roof- did you leave it outside when it was snowing or add the snow manually?
Pics 3,4,5: the shadow moves across the scene quite a long way- how long were you out there freezing your hands off for the sake of Art?
-
Thanks everyone!
I used a broom to drop the snow on the trucks for the picture.
The shading was a coincidence, I couldn't get myself out of the shot. It looks great though...

A thrilling incident! We must know if the dog made it. :skull:

I would really like to see how big the "pond" was prior to setting this up. I am sure it was a really small puddle that froze over but that camera angle just made it look massive as you got it spot on and the only point of reference for size is the
klickies PM fire and rescue. This is splendid, thank you for taking the time to post for our viewing pleasures.

Hello all,
Just an update. The owner of the dog was found and the two have been reunited!
The "pond" is maybe a 3'x3' puddle most of the time. Thanks for all the compliments.
