question on box size answered

I wondered if they had minimum box size. I had a couple of barrel ends which were missing from a previous order sent and they arrived in this box:



Nice to see green principles at work in a big company.  :(

In the US my DS parts orders normally come in a padded envelope
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

There are standard, international box sizes which allow optimum packing in standard, international sized containers pallets, outer cartons etc.  Because they are standard size produced in enormous quantities they are very cheap per unit.  They may also save waste of raw materials and so could be green.

In any case, you've got a useful box to post things to someone else or store things in, or recycle.

My annual PCC figures always arrived in boxes that look just like that one (except usually crushed :-\).
