Hello everyone,
although I've been around here for 2 years I've decided to finally introduce myself.
I loved Playmobil since I was a little man, I spent nights as a kid dreaming about this: http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3669.htm
And when finally my mother bought it for me...I was HOOKED.
I still have that very set, my first set. And I still play with those guys!
That was just the beginning. I then ask for this: 3654 for a Christmas back in 94! That memory of me opening it still warms me today, I was very happy. With just those two sets I was able to do lots of adventures.
...now as a grown up I still buy playmos :D (and I still play with them)
Attached one of my last buy, can't afford when i was small. And now it's all mine!

Hi HDTM, nice to meet you :)
I am a fan of the medieval castles too, and I also kept all of my old Playmobil, luckily!

Welcome HDTM!

Welcome to the forums!
The 90's knights theme is also something I grew up with, I gues my favorite set is obvious in my avatar but the 3669 set is also a set I have had since childhood. That knight was usually the bad guy, and now he still gets to be that as Heinrich Drachenfell in the stories I put here on the forums.
Feel free to make a little picture story as you play, to me that has been great fun to do since its kind of a collaberation with your inner child. :)

Hey guys, could you put a translation underneath sentences you post in other languages besides English? That's more fun for all the forum members ;)

Thank you!

:) Another welcome from the UK!
-
Welcome (even if you've been here longer than me!).
3667 was one of the first sets I got when I started collecting, it's such a great set, I think the 90s had the best overall stuff for the knights theme.

Ciao HTDM!

3669 is indeed cool as heck.
Maybe so, its heraldry is great and I love the entire purple knight range, but its 1986 predecessor 3329 is properly sweet. It's the ONLY unopened box I shall hold on to while slimming down my collection:

Simply because the back art shows how this set more than any other marks a departure into new territories: Just compare that badass armour with those guys on the wall! Bye bye, Klickyland, let's get ready for the nineties. :yup:

Apologies for browsing some old threads.

If you ever do open it, the Gummi (rubber band) on the crossbow will probably have perished?
Yes, it's a lovely set!

Probably. But the thought that there is an untouched old-style chrome sword inside that box gives me a warm feeling.

So do NOT collect the newest Dragons Theme sets with female figures. Those klickies will be bald in about 25 years.

What's interesting about that set is that it appears in a couple of catalogue images, this one and at least another show them as part of the Nuremberg Kingdom. Then they appear as attacking the old castle and old chrome knights, making way for the 3666 generation of knights.
