Well part of it anyway.... Here's my assembly of animals (more to be added) that I am working on for a zoo project (still collecting bits and pieces to make it how I want it so stay tuned). There's going to be some customizing work done as well.

Great collection! Your zoo is going to be large with all those big animals. You found a lot of hippo's! Love those.
-
I've had the Hippos since I was a child. We still have all of the Playmobil we played with as kids. There are little pieces missing or broken here or there but it's all here.
-
It must be wonderful to have so many lovely animals. (Those ostriches look good face-on.) I'll look forward to seeing your zoo!
-
Great looking collection. Your zoo will be impressive I'm sure.
-
Thank you! As I said, I'm still in the process of procuring additional animals and doing some customizing to some (and that doesn't show the babies either) I'm actually a bit anxious to build my zoo (but I have many more pieces to acquire before that will become a reality. Maybe by the end of summer- or it could be my winter project (just have to keep the cats from wrecking it).
-
I added a few more items for my zoo over the past few weeks

I have a plan for the 4460 set, I'm hoping it works out the way I imagine.

I got the Volcano (incomplete) on eBay for an insanely cheap price. I ordered most of the missing pieces from DS (cost me more for the missing pieces than the volcano but the rock slide was missing) then realized I forgot to order a couple of the pieces so they will be here in about 10 days lol
So now onto trying to obtain the remaining infrastructure that I want (which makes me glad TRU is bringing the amusement sets over early). I might be ready to build my zoo this winter
-
Very impressive.
-
Nice to see you have a colony of blue footed boobies!
I'm curious which animal is so lucky to get to live on a volcano.
Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I'm not sure who is going to get to live on the volcano... Obviously when I'm done it won't be an active one. Lol and yes, I thought 6 made for a decent colony of Blue Foots
-
That is awesome, I'm very much looking forward to seeing your zoo appear on the forum this winter :)
I actually got a vulcano set at the Playmobil store in Dietenhofen for the same purpose: it looks SO cool as an animal hideout and it's got some very unusual foliage and trees. *pretty!*
Expensive set if you get it new, but I gave the dinosaurs to my nephew, so I had an excuse ;D
And the tree house is such a lovely set aswell. Great finds!

Good thing I have plenty of space to build it in! I added the Ferris Wheel from the amusement series today... It just might make it's way into the zoo as well ;)
-
Today I added the rest of the amusement theme to my collection and got a dino set too. I should have gotten 2 more motors but I didn't think about it. 40% off so not a bad haul!

Amusement park and dinosaurs? Going to make a jurassic park? ;) Nice buys.

I've been playing around on eBay again and picked up some people and a few small accessories this weekend. Still a long way to go to get everything that I want and need to make my zoo a reality.
I was looking over my "inventory of animals" today and realized that I haven't updated it in a while since I've added a few more.
Does anyone else keep an inventory of their playmobil pieces?
-

I started a spreadsheet of mine - link in my profile - but haven't bothered to keep it up. Feels too much like work.

I started a spreadsheet of mine - link in my profile - but haven't bothered to keep it up. Feels too much like work.
I'm doing it just for the animals, and have quickly found how not up-to-date it is. So when I quickly looked at it before deciding to buy something off eBay, I saw that I had the need. When I physically looked at my bin of animals I discovered that I had enough of it.
Now I was looking last night and have decided that I need to start customizing some of the animals that I want in my zoo. And then find some way to make some beautiful zoo signs like the one seller has on eBay for some of the different critters (unfortunately the words are in Spanish). And I really need to get working on the infrastructure for the zoo. I still need a bunch of things!
-
Nice collection! I'm looking forward to seeing your zoo. How did you get all those blue-footed boobies? I want some so bad, I don't even have one yet. :( I just can't justify buying a $60 set for one bird. Does anyone know if they are available as spare parts in Germany?
-

They were, at least..

I got them from Direct Service
-
Have you tried US Parts dept. Bonnie? I got mine from there when they first came out.
If anyone wants a copy of the animal master list in Excel spreadsheet format let me know. That's how I keep it and then copy paste to the page on Animobil. I don't track any of my other stuff, just what animals exist and if I have them or not. The list doesn't include 2015 releases yet. I will be adding those when they are officially announced to the public.
-
Wow, that's a lot of animals you have there 8} it's going to be some zoo!
I love your fairground pieces too,
Mandy J
-
Thanks Mandy!
Over the last few weeks I've added various sets and parts... Here's some of the newer additions (not all parts of sets are pictured). I've added some more accessories for my zoo project, and have some more on the way!

I bought a second motor for the swings, still need to get one more as the spinning discs from the amusement theme use it as well. It makes the Ferris Wheel and swings move so much smoother than if you hand crank them.
-
Cool new stuff! :)
-
So I've been at it again recently scouring eBay to get some new parts/ pieces/ people (I actually forgot about one of the items that I ordered.)
I'm getting closer to having the infrastructure that I want for my now apparently massive zoo diorama! There's more new stuff coming this week from a massive TRU and Playmobil order, plus I'm getting together a DS order. Oh boy! I love tax time!
I also bought a new cart to make storage a little easier.

I haven't decided on how I'm going to do the drawers yet. I have so many parts that are scattered about that it's actually overwhelming to decide where to start lol
-
That cart is awesome. It seems like I've seen it in a store somewhere and liked it. It'll be great for organizing playmo.
-
I got the cart from SAMS Club. I haven't played around with it too much yet. I have a bunch of stuff to go through so we will see what I decide

The sorting makes building a diorama so much easier.

Yeah considering that for years they have all just been massed in large plastic tubs with absolutely ZERO organization to them. I find something new every time I open one! Haha
And I'm definitely NOT an organizer so that makes this all the more fun. I may actully go and see if I can get another one of those carts today (which then means there will be a physical trip to TRU, not just online!)
-
Great collection and I like also so much that cart!!!
George. :)
-
Thanks guys!
So I have a few packages that are scheduled for delivery today... the first that arrived contained some exciting pieces for me!
(http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y79/leefert/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-02/4BDAFEEB-AA24-4538-9033-8BFB160D2810.jpg) (http://s3.photobucket.com/user/leefert/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-02/4BDAFEEB-AA24-4538-9033-8BFB160D2810.jpg.html)
I've wanted these sets since I first laid eyes on them, but too many other things got in the way of my ability to purchase them. Well no more! They are here!
Now to sit and wait for the UPS man...
-
Those look like some great sets! Those rock and tree pieces look especially nice. :)
-
The UPS delivery made me feel like a kid on Christmas morning!!!!

Nice bunch! Xmas is whenever we want! ;D

Yup, I know the feeling!
You got almost the entire Mountain holiday theme. It's one of the best of the last years I think
I couldn't even resist the three ornated cows.

The cows are the only part left that I really want to get!
But anyway, more new additions to my Playmo collection (I had a little too much fun splurging over the last couple of weeks!)

Me too! I mean I love them, but won't get all of them..
It's a great idea, and very well executed.
-
My collection has grown again!
I've been sporadically splurging to add bites and pieces to my collection... Not a bad haul, the two Oak trees were only $3 each! They didn't have any leaves though (the leaves on them are the ones I've stolen off of my little oak trees so I hope DS has some of the leaves available) up the ale at TRU and picked up a couple of sets that might have some usefulness in some of my future Playmo-plans :D I'm still stockpiling sets and items for my diorama ideas. I was happy to get the Hot Dog Cart (mostly complete) for only a few dollars. And the Penguin super set was a good deal as well!
(http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y79/leefert/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-08/8F8E1658-D86F-4BB3-B102-FA62CF490F0B.jpg) (http://s3.photobucket.com/user/leefert/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-08/8F8E1658-D86F-4BB3-B102-FA62CF490F0B.jpg.html)
-
Great additions. I have been back and forth over that toy shop set. I could use the shelf unit and some of the toys for my Santa displays but even at the sale price right now I don't know if it's worth it.
-
The sale price is the only reason I went ahead and bought the Toy Shop... I have plans for a diorama that could make use of some of the parts from it
-
Oh those are great finds for just a few dollars! Can't wait to see the end result :)
Good luck with the leaf-hunt.
I anxiously awaited the arrival of these little babies ;)
;D
-
Nice additions! You never have enough trees so for $3 each, good buy! Hope you find the leaves, leafert! ;D
-
Hope you find the leaves, leafert! ;D
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I hope that DS has the parts I need!

:) and something else about your nickname, when you say leefert in Dutch, you say 'lieverd'. Means something as sweetheart; to address your husband/ wife, child... a special beloved one. So the next time a Dutchman says 'leefert' to you, you know he's trying to be nice..

when you say leefert in Dutch, you say 'lieverd'.
Only when pronounced in NL-Dutch though.
But as such it sounds much nicer then f.e. "Lee Fart". ;D
Okay, you can shoot me now.

I decided to do a little animal inventory today...
(http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y79/leefert/Playmobil/birds.jpg) (http://s3.photobucket.com/user/leefert/media/Playmobil/birds.jpg.html)
The Birds and Feathered Friends... Man I have a lot of Flamingos :D For whatever reason I decided to put the Koi I made in this one as well as some mice... hmmm those extra fish might be transformed soon ;)

I do like your ideas! I had some very similar ideas myself
-
Pictures of sets of the same pieces are really pleasant to look at.
-
Love the koi you made. I really like to put all my animals up. A nice meditative thing for me. Great pictures!
You have lot of those brown eagles, they are really hard to find here.
-
Looking at the amazing quantity of animals you have ready for your zoo and the range of structures purchased, will you create a drive- through animal park rather than a visitors centre? I much prefer the idea of roaming animals in a natural environment - something like Woburn Safari Park rather than London Zoo, for those of us living in UK.

A look at some of the latest additions to the collection... there are several other items (Fi?ures and other Klickys) not shown in this bunch. There are also several other items on the way.
-
Nice haul there.
What's it like getting all those boxes with their summer feel to them as you head into winter?
-
It's honestly felt like summer here this week so there hasn't really been much change.,.

And my Christmas gifts to myself....

Possibly I will get to it tonight. I didn't realize there wasn't one yet. Hopefully by tomorrow I can get one done.
Yes Tahra, I had to get the Otters!!! And the Lynx. Not sure what I will get next with my $20 coupon from Playmobil when they send it next month (possibly new zoo animals, maybe the tree house...)

I can't believe all the discounts you get... I mean, I know germans do, but well...
(I want the lynx too, but the oterts I don't really want ANOTHER boat with uninspired klickys)

My nephew will enjoy the boat. His favorite animal at the zoo used to be the otters. Currently he is a fan of the goats in the petting zoo- 4 year olds are fickle

Excellent choice of Christmas gifts to yourself!
I haven't bought any Playmobil for a while so I have a little money saved up. If I place a big order in January, it will probably look a lot like yours :)

Some of these sets are actually duplicated from the previous pictures (I couldn't remember what my last picture actually had in it). I've added some of the new Wildlife sets to my collection.

It's easier to put the tree house together when you don't have "help"

Who then decided that it was "too hard" and thought it was better to take a nap. I had time to leave and go to the grocery store and she was still there an hour after I got home.

The oak trees at the top, I bought the actual trunks themselves for like $2 or $3... then ordered the leaves from direct service (another $19) still a lot cheaper than most. And now I have 3 of the big oaks.
I accidentally ordered 2 of the backpacker with beaver and fallen tree. I decided that was okay though since I like that tree... I now have 8 or 10 beavers. It's okay.
-
Why do they always seat on the stuff you're reading/writing/using?
-
They have this sixth or seventh sense to do it
-
Good idea to buy the trees in pieces. They'll look great in a dio.
-
I got some more interesting eBay lots/ prices... Another Oak tree for $8, the 2 Pine trees were $11 for the pair... Secret Agent Headquarters (mostly complete there's a huge bag of parts behind it) $9.99.... Then a lot of stuff in trades.

Now, I need to get some time to work on some customs...
-
Great additions! I look over your photos and find myself going - I have that, and that, and that, and...I don't have that - why don't I have that - I should totally get one of those some time, and I have that, and...
;D ;D ;D
-
Wow, that's a lot of stuff! I especially like the trees. :)
-
That's a great loot :)
The secret agent headquarters sure has a LOT of potential..
-
Great stuff!! Have fun with them!!
George. :)

I am on vacation and picked up some of the Super 4 sets at TRU (Gene and the Chameleon) and some series 9 (boys) and 10 (girls) Fi?ures
-
Finally found some series 10 boys. I bought 8 packs and got:
1 Tribal
3 Hunters (one with an extra hat and another with an extra piece that holds them together)
4 Elves (one with extra hair)
The elves could go to war with the hunters...

It's been a while and I've had a lot of little additions, but in the past few weeks I have been able to add quite a few new blue boxes :)

Very nice!
I want those new elves too!
And I wanted the black russian hat, but as the golden dog, no longer available :(
Now you can do a bunch of detailed reviews! :P Looking forward to them.
-
I’m working on some more. I might even pop open one of the new sets I got for my nephew for Christmas and review it since I have to make sure that it’s play ready upon opening.
-
since I have to make sure that it’s play ready upon opening.
Right.
:P
-
a fun tidbit. I had to order a pair of Donkeys to replace the ones that I gave to my nephew. When they filled my order they gave me
1 of 30 65 2052 and 1 of 30 67 0042
-
That's interesting. I see the one with shorter ears as more like a burro myself.
-
Yeah, it's smaller and a little more detailed. I like it a lot- and I'm not sure that I had one prior to this.
-
So before Christmas I got myself a few new sets (while I was shopping for the nephews of course)
But then I had to go visit my brother in the cold forsaken land of Ohio (sorry James but it was cold!) However, I do enjoy going to Sir Troy's Toy Kingdom... and so I bought several new friends
(https://i.imgur.com/dc2DTK0.jpg?1)
The bottom left corner is a Disney Fireworks Light show projector with sound. I thought maybe I could use it eventually in a diorama (and since it was half off...)

Apparently when my Groomer with Butterfly Pony was packed, the machine went crazy. The only thing in the package that I didn’t get doubles of was the pony itself! Lol
I’m totally okay with this since I love the girl’s torso! I have a feeling that the one will be ditching her riding boots.
-
That's a great haul, leefert!
Thank you for answering my question before I asked it ;D

Apparently my plane is trying to take off... I sat it last night on top of the fire place (it was off) and when I looked out this afternoon, this is how it was sitting. All wheels were on the "ground" when I went to bed last night.

I decided to take stock of my Goalie collection today.... I think I might have misplaced a couple that I am almost certain that I purchased...
Oh well, I'm ordering 5 new ones off of Amazon today. I noticed on the Playmobil Website (in the new US catalog) that they have the Logo for the new team in Las Vegas, but no picture. I'm hoping they produce that goalie too!

When you didn't remove something from your Amazon shopping cart and your mom (who shares your amazon account) places an order and says "Well it was only $3 so I figured that I'd get it." Thanks mom! Goalie #16 (the 14th of the NHL ones)

I've been shopping on the Amazon Warehouse Deals again... damaged packaging and sometimes 80% off of them! I got the one for $1.90! Most of the others in the $2-3 range

Well they will not ship to Canada so I am assuming that you cannot get those deals unless you live in the US of A.

Do you have an Amazon site strictly for Canada? There may be something similar on there
-
It appears that they do and the prices are not really savings... They only have 12 playmobil items as well. The US site had pages and pages.

Some of the newest acquisitions to my collection. I got the entire Winter Holiday line (but then it didn't snow here so I couldn't do any fun pictures.)
i'm hoping to get lucky during the TRU going out of business sale and pick up a couple more of the aquarium.

I like the Ice Hockey Team !
I had no idea that there was such a thing as an Amazon Warehouse with discounted sales. I will check it this week-end, though I feel guilty at being an Amazon customer when so many little retailers are going down everywhere :(
-
Thanks! I have just 3 goalies left to acquire to complete the whole league (hopefully they will produce the Vegas Golden Knights Goalie too!)
-
I've got some new additions thanks to the TRU going out of business sale, I've added 3 more Aquariums. I also took advantage of the 20% off from Playmobil and got some other sets. Plus some eBay finds.

Just 2 more Goalies to go (Anaheim and Florida) until August when the Vegas Goalie joins the party

The package on the left is from the craft store, it has buntings, and banners, and ribbons that I thought might be usable in a diorama. I got 4 packs of them, and may still get more.
-
Great additions! What was the TRU percentage off there now? I haven't checked the store here to see if they have anything I would want or what the prices may be now.

It was 30 the last time I went.

I’d still like to get another one or two

I haven’t cracked them open yet, but I have intentions of use for them in my Zoo diorama

So it's been quite a while since I've posted any new additions to my collection... These are some of the more recent additions.
Miscellaneous sets that I have scrounged up off of Amazon Warehouse deals and then the ridiculously low priced sets on Walmart
(https://i.imgur.com/JSU1Qr7.jpg?1)
Advent calendars that were also ridiculously low priced. The Santa's workshop one I have 6 or 7 of now, but I need the parts and elves to build my Santa's workshop
(https://i.imgur.com/Mv5OOey.jpg?1)
School sets that I got when they were on sale at Walmart
(https://i.imgur.com/2M7TEN6.jpg?1)
And some odds and ends people and animals from eBay and other Playmofriends
(https://i.imgur.com/ityM817.jpg?1)
-
nice additions! I have lots of elves but there is always room for more.

Absolutely! Never too many elves
-
:o
I am very jealous of those prices :( Still missing the porsche..
-
Nice finds! I love finding PM bargains. The big sets always seem so expensive when offered at standard retail prices. [That's the nearest emoticon to 'waving fingers as if you just burnt them' I could find.]
-
So fun looking through this thread from the beginning & seeing your collection of animals & fun bargain purchases! :o
I had some laughs over your "helper" & the "oterts" too  (I don't know the story of the oterts but I'm intrigued now!) :D

Otert comes from Raven’s fun little photo story. And my “helper” still “helps” with construction and destruction of things

True, which is fine when you find the cache. But some parts when stepped on in the dark are like stepping on Legos...
Many of my customizing projects are on hiatus right now thanks to my helpers. One likes to play with the paint brush, another will steal the parts.

I managed to complete my Scooby Doo Ghosts Series 1. Most of them were actually blind pulls since the cases were dumped together or dug through. The final one I needed was the Clown, which figured to be the hardest because he's in the front of the left row and if someone is just going to grab, well it's the front ones that they take. It took 3 different Walmart stores to come up with the whole series, and I actually did pretty well at not getting a ton of doubles. Some of the doubles that I got were ones that I didn't mind getting doubles of.

At the risk of starting up The Controversy again, I have to say some of those figures are incredibly "politically incorrect"!

Haha! Absolutely!
The one thing I noticed with them is that accessories seemed flimsy. Especially Carlotta’s hair and bonnet, Geronimo’s Tomahawk. And none of the suits actually stay completely together.
-
Flimsy - you mean they're in that soft plastic that newer flagpoles etc. are in?
-

Yep. I thought that I was going to bend the tomahawk out of shape trying to get it in Geronimo’s hand. And I love Carlotta’s hair style, but it is much thinner than previous hairs
-
Lame! >:(
-
It's SOOOO stupid. The flagpoles drive me nuts.
If idiots can hurt themselves with a playmoitem... LET THEM. Give them a Darwin Award. It's called evolution >:D
