Secret Klicky for Sylvia - Grace O'Malley
« on: December 10, 2007, 19:42:27 »
As promised, here are some pics of the gift I received at the weekend. :D

Captain Henry sent me a custom of Grace O'Malley and one of her Irish pirate rogues. His children, Sirena and Merboy, were also involved in the creation process by helping to choose some of the parts. The customising talent definitely runs in the family! :)

Enclosed with the figures was this explanation:

Gráinne Ní Mháille (c. 1530 – c. 1603), also known as Granuaile or Gráinne Mhaol, known in English as Grace O'Malley, is an important figure in Irish legend but was in fact a larger-than-life figure from 16th century Irish history. O'Malley is sometimes known as "The Sea Queen Of Connaught."

Thank you Henry, Sirena and Merboy for my wonderful gift! 8-)

Very, very nice historical presentation, Sylvia!

I was happy to read that Cap'n Henry involves his children in these activities.

He's a great dad! ...  0)

Thanks for sharing.

All the best,
Richard

Granuille looks fantastic!  You gave me a new topic to research, too!  Is the V-neck natural, or did you have to paint it?

It came that way, but for the life of me I cannot remember from where! I found it in my "bin of klicky parts".... muahahahaha! :D

very nicely done customs  ;D

btw:
The 'neck' is from the old Queen out of set 3659 'The Kings Court'.
